Ricky Bowen
"Thank you for dinner." Athena grins, getting off of her seat."Yeah of course," Nini says, "just leave your dish in the sink and I'll wash it."
"Sure."
"Go and brush your teeth after, cool?" I ask.
"Will do."
She puts her dish in the sink and runs off to the bathroom. I slightly grin at the sight before continuing to eat my pasta. I look over at Nini who was just poking at it.
"Not hungry Neens?" I question.
"Not really. I tried, but I've lost my appetite." She puts her fork down and slightly rubs her temple. "I'm just trying to get used to the news that's all. I still can't process it."
"Its okay, just..take a breather." She nods as I go into my back pocket. I take the pamphlet that Seb gave me and place it on the table. "To uh, get your mind off of things..Carlos, Seb, EJ and Gina came by the shop earlier."
"What? Really?" She raises a brow.
"Yeah and they gave me this." I slide it over to her. "They..want us to audition."
"Audition?" I'm sure the word is surprising. We haven't "auditioned" for anything lately.
She takes the pamphlet and looks at the front. "Hamilton?""Y-yeah. Broadway..isn't that something?"
"They want us to actually audition for this?"
"Mhm, and I want to..but I just don't know about Athena. I mean, let's say we audition and we got the roles we want, we'd have to travel all around the world performing up to 8 performances a week. I don't want Athena dealing with that."
"It's..broadway Ricky. We would need professional training, and I mean yes, we're majoring in Theatre but..I-..this would be one sort of dream wouldn't it?" She flips through the pamphlet.
"Yeah and I would kill for this opportunity but.." I lower my voice, "Athena is just 4 and you're right, training is what we need and we can't really afford that right now. And the idiots already gave me tickets for New York."
"They what?! Ricky.."
"Look, I'm bi polar." I shrug my shoulders. "I-I can't do nothing about it."
"So do you want to do this?"
"I-..I mean it'd be cool wouldn't it?"
