Ricky Bowen "His name is Lachlan?" I raise a brow.
"Mhm."
"Is this a..grown man or..someone your age?"
"He's a boy dad." She slightly laughs.
"Is he like me? Is he big?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"Uhm..is he in class with you? Like..doing work like you?"
"Oh. Yeah! He sits right next to me."
A surge of relief goes through my entire body. "Oh. Okay. Okay," I snort, "I'm- I'm sorry."
"Is something wrong?" She questions, putting her dishes on the counter.
"No. No baby, nothings wrong but I'm-..I'm going to take you into school today. I'm going to walk in with you."
"Really?"
"Really."
Nini Roberts "We have a new worker?" I ask as I walk in, putting on my apron. The tables looked...polished differently than how I always do it and everyone knows that.
"Hey Neens," Paul begins drying his hands with a towel. Paul is my manager and surprisingly a manager I'm able to work with. "Something wrong?"
"The tables looks a little..different don't you think?" I keep my hat in my hand and look around. A figure approaches from the kitchen and it was definitely not someone I knew.
"Oh. Yeah, a new face just got hired." He turns and faces the figure, "Nick! Get over here!"
"Hm?" A low voice hums. The figure who, I'm just guessing, is Nick walks over. He fixes the apron around his body and grins at me. "Oh hello."
"Nick this is Nini. Nini, Nick. Nini is the only other person besides me you listen to. She's an OG here. She's the first worker I got when I first opened, so you are to listen to her, got it?"
"Uh, yeah. Sure." He takes off his hat, revealing pitch black hair, and ruffles his hair before putting his it back on.
"I forgot to talk to you about the tables. Nini is always in charge of it."
"Always?"
"Always." I answer for him with a smile.
"Well I mean the tables seemed a little dirty so obviously I just had to do some-"
I slightly cough, interrupting his sentence. "I don't leave the tables dirty. Not once have I left the tables dirty....buddy."
