Nini Roberts
"Don't touch me Richard." I say annoyed, throwing my keys onto the table."Nini..really?" I can see him clench his jaw as if he has the right to. "I'm sorry, I really am."
"Yeah, okay." I scoff, heading to the fridge to take out some water. "Just check on Athena for me will you?"
"She's fine, but look. I don't know what it'll take for you to accept my apology. Cant you tell me?"
"I'm sure you can find that out yourself." I grip the water bottle hard as I open it and take a sip of it.
"Communication? Come on, you said that's what we are best at."
"Hm," I force a chuckle, "just like how you couldn't answer my fucking phone calls or messages. Clearly we both aren't good at communicating anymore."
"You're being petty."
"I'm being reasonable." I see him clench his jaw and grip the edge of the counter. I raise a brow in question and in dare, wondering what he's gonna do.
"What's reasonable about what your doing Nini? Because in my eyes, there's nothing."
"In my eyes, there's everything." I close the water bottle cap and sigh. "I'll sleep on the couch tonight."
"What? No, are you serious?" He scoffs and furrows his brows. "Let's fucking talk this out and use common sense to fix this."
"You can fix this. You broke it, you fix it." I walk past him and shake my head. "Night."
"Uh uh, Nini come back here." He calls, making me roll my eyes. I'm so sick of him right now. Can't he tell I just wanna be alone so maybe..just maybe, I'll decide whether or not to forgive him.
"I said night Richard. I'm not your daughter, I'm your girlfriend. Stop acting like I'm going to listen to everything you say." I say sternly, grabbing my phone out of my pocket.
I hear him tisk. "Babe, what the hell? I'm asking to talk this shit out and you're being petty as fuck about not telling me how to fix this."
"Jesus Christ, I'm done." I turn around and face him. Common sense he wants to use? Shut the fuck up my love. "Y'know what, fine. Tomorrow, we'll talk about it, but tonight? I want to be alone, good enough for you?"
"No," he pauses at me before calming his tone, "no. It's not good enough because I don't want to wait that long to fix something that can be fixed so easily."
"It's not easy if I don't know the reason why you did what you did." I hesitantly cross my arms. "So please. Explain."
"Explain?"
And this guy wonders why I'm angry. "Why were you late?"
"I told you. Peyton and I had to stay back at work and I asked her to watch Oscar. By the way, she's going to drop him off later."
