Everyone was gathered where the tower to the library once was. You put the scrolls and the book you got in Sokka's bag as Aang's blood boiled over Appa being stolen.
Aang: How could you let them take Appa? Why didn't you stop them!?
Toph: I couldn't, the library was sinking you guys were still inside!
Aang turned his angered gaze to you.
Aang: What were you even doing in the library? If you stayed out here, then Appa wouldn't have been taken!
Y/N: How was I supposed to know that sand benders would take him? Also I'm not very good at earth bending, let alone sand bending, I couldn't have done anything.
Aang got up in your face as his blood only boiled further.
Aang: You had one job, stay out here with Appa and Toph, we could have gotten out without you anyway!
You widened your eyes as it was made clear how deeply that comment cut you, you held your hand over your chest as Katara stood in between the both of you to calm down the mood.
Katara: Aang calm down. It's not (Y/N)'s fault.
Sokka: Yeah, besides we have bigger issues to worry about. How are we gonna get out of this desert?
Aang: That's all you guys care about is yourselves! You don't care whether Appa is fine or not!
Katara: Aang that's not true. We're all concerned, but we can't spend time fighting amongst ourselves.
But it was clear Aang was still in a pissed off state.
Aang turned away from the others and readied his glider.
Aang: I'm going after him.
Aang took off into the air as he tried to trail the sand benders.
Y/N: He's right. I should have stayed out here to help with this.
Katara placed her hands on yours.
Katara: It's alright (Y/N). There's nothing you can do about it now. Let's just focus on getting out of the desert.
Sokka: You think if we dig up the giant owl he'll give us a ride?
Y/N: I highly doubt it Sokka.
Though the words that spirit left you still stuck in your mind. He spoke as if he knew you, yet didn't at the same time. It was very unclear as you still felt a little sore about Appa and failing to protect him. But you had other objectives right now.
Team Avatar began their uncomfortable and heated walk through the desert. It felt like the sand went on for miles and the heat didn't help with the moral of the whole situation.
You were focusing on moving forward no matter what, but your will was bending and melting in this heat. The others were no better off than you were.
Sokka tries to use Momo's wings to shade him from the sun until Toph bumps into him.
Sokka: Can't you watch where your-
Toph: No.
Sokka: Right, sorry.
Katara: Come on guys, we have to stick together.
Katara, who is trying to be the glue that's holding everyone together.
Sokka: If I sweat anymore, I don't think sticking together is gonna be a problem.
Sokka says as he tries to pry himself off of Toph. Toph pushes Sokka down by his face to unstick the two.
