After what happened in the desert, you managed to get your hands on some materials from the Sandbenders to repair your armor and fix your bandages around your arms and hands. At the moment, everyone was resting by a waterfall and relaxing in its waters while Sokka was going over some maps.
For the most part, you tried to stay a bit neutral after the desert. You still felt somewhat bad about all that's happened.
You were looking at your reflection in the water while you were fixing your makeup. Using your sword to fix your eyeliner easier.
Aang noticed you as he was swimming by.
Aang: You know, I don't think I've ever seen you without your makeup.
Y/N: Y-Yeah, I guess I kinda got lost in the identity.
Aang: Well, how come you always wear it?
Y/N: W-Well, as I said before, it was so the Assassins thought I was my mother. Now, I just don't want them to know my real face too much. Also, I feel more comfortable like this. It feels more natural.
Toph: You know, I bet you'd look stunning under all that makeup.
You stop and think for a moment as it licks in your head.
Y/N: Oh, right! I get the joke now.
Aang and Toph laugh as you notice Katara at the top of the cliffs getting ready to do a cannonball so you prepare by getting out of the splash zone.
Katara: WATERBENDING BOMB!
She shouts as she jumps into the water, causing a powerful splash as Sokka desperately tries to save his maps and other documents.
Sokka: Great. 5,000 year old maps from the spirit library just splashed some water on them.
Katara squeezes the water out of her hair as she exits the body of water.
Katara: Sorry.
She bends the water off of the maps to dry them as Sokka went back to finding a way to Ba Sing Se. You look at your reflection in your jade sword, admiring your reflection in the green cracked blade. Returning it to its sheath and turning back to Sokka.
Y/N: So, navigator, what's the best path to Ba Sing Se?
You ask as everyone gathers around Sokka and the maps.
Sokka: Okay, we just got out of the desert, so we must be around here. And we need to get to Ba Sing Se, which is here. It looks like the only passage connecting the south to the north is this sliver of land called the Serpent's Pass.
Toph: You sure that's the best way?
Sokka: It's the only way. I mean, it's not like we have Appa to fly us there.
Katara: Can you at least try to be sensitive?
You whisper yell at him as everyone looks to see how Aang is.
Aang: Guys, it's okay. I know I was upset about losing Appa in the desert, but now I just want to focus on getting to Ba Sing Se and telling the earth king about the solar eclipse.
Y/N: Wait, there's an eclipse?
Sokka: (Y/N), we've been talking about it ever since we left the desert.
Y/N: I was kinda. . . down.
Sokka: Oh right, sorry. Well, to summarize, the eclipse will leave the Fire Nation powerless, and that'll be the perfect time for an attack. Now let's get moving with no more distractions.
Sokka said as he began to pack up the maps.
Man: Hello there, fellow refugees!
You turn to see three refugees. A man and two other women. One of which was pregnant.
