Another flight to avoid those girls and another night without sleep. It was clearly starting to affect everyone.
Toph: So (Y/N), were those people hunting you or what?
Katara: No, those girls have been chasing us since Omashu.
Y/N: I still can't believe Aang had people like them after him. I wish the assassins after me were that cute.
You say in a sleepy dreamlike tone.
Katara and Toph shoot a look your way but you were too tired to notice. Though everyone notices that the sun starts to rise over the horizon.
Sokka: Oh no the sun is rising. We've been up all night with no sleep.
Aang: Sokka we'll be okay.
Sokka: Are you sure? I've never not slept before! What if I fall asleep now and something happens? And something always happens!
Katara: Everytime we land those girls are there, so we'll just have to keep flying.
Aang: We can't keep flying forever.
Aang: *yawn* So what's the plan?
Toph rests her head on your shoulder.
Toph: Don't know. Too tired to think.
Katara: I'm sure we'll come up with something after a short nap.
Sokka: Yes, sleep.
After a short moment, the momentum from flying vanishes and it seems gravity has taken over.
Your eyes shoot open as you notice the sudden shift.
Y/N: What's happening?!?
Aang: Appa fell asleep!
You barely grab onto Appa's saddle and hold onto Toph to keep her stable and from flying off.
Aang crawls onto Appa's face in order to wake him up. Appa gains enough awareness that propels him and everyone through some trees which causes a crash landing to the earth below.
Aang slowly falls off of Appa.
Aang: Appa's exhausted.
Sokka: Okay we put a lot of distance between us and them. The plan right now is to follow Appa's lead, and get some sleep.
Katara: Of course we could've gotten some sleep earlier if Toph didn't have such issues.
Toph: *slam* WHAT!?!
Aang tries to calm them all down.
Aang: Alright alright, everyone's exhausted. Let's just get some rest.
Toph: No I wanna hear what Katara has to say! You think I have issues!?
Katara: I'm just saying. Maybe if you helped out earlier, we could have set up our camp faster and gotten some sleep. And then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation!
You slide off of Appa and put your hands on Katara's shoulders.
Y/N: Okay you made your point Katara. We should all just calm down and rest. I'm no expert, but I'm sure friends don't argue like this. . . Unless I missed some readings.
Katara: I'm only speaking the truth.
Toph: And the truth is it's my fault, isn't it?
You stand in between Toph and Katara holding your hands up.
Y/N: Nah I'm sure Katara isn't blaming this on you.
Katara: No I'm blaming her!
Toph shoves you out of the way and into Appa.
