You were slouching in your seat thinking about how you would even go about finding your mother. Seeing how all of you were currently on the train entering the city, your heart only yearned to find her if she was in the city.
You clenched your chest as you assumed the worst might have happened to her.
Y/N: 'What if someone gets to her first? Should I have stolen a messenger Hawk and called ahead? Is she even here anymore?'
Katara: What's with you? I thought you of all people would be ecstatic.
Y/N: Oh no trust me I am, I'm just a bit worried is all. Things don't really go our way a lot of the time, and Ba Sing Se is such a big city. It'll be hard to find my mother, let alone Appa.
Sokka: He's right there, weird stuff does happen to us.
Aang: He's also right about Ba Sing Se. It's such a big city. What if we can't find Appa at all?
Sokka: Oh come on, Appa's a giant bison, where could they possibly hide him.
You all look out the window as you enter the inner wall and gaze at the giant city inside.
Y/N: Fuck me.
Katara smacks the back of your head.
Katara: Language!
The train arrives inside the walls and all the passengers get off.
Aang walks to the edge of the station that overlooks the city. He blows on the bison whistle in false hopes that maybe somewhere in the city Appa may here it ad come flying in.
Aang: I'm coming for ya buddy.
As the train leaves, your group notices a woman across the tracks looking at you with a big smile plastered on her face. She made her way over to you and you could not feel more uncomfortable.
Joo Dee: Hello, my name is Joo Dee. I have been given the great honor of showing the Avatar around Ba Sing Se. And you must be Sokka, Katara, (Y/N) and Toph. Welcome to our wonderful city. Shall we get started?
Sokka: Yes. We have information about the Fire Nation army that we need to deliver to the Earth King, immediately.
Joo Dee: Great! Let's begin our tour. And then I'll show you to your new home here. I think you'll like it.
She said clearly ignoring Sokka's statement.
Y/N: Man, first day in the big city and I'm already uncomfortable. Gotta be a new record.
You say as you all follow the woman.
But Sokka persisted on getting through to her. Which you understood, this information is important.
Sokka: Maybe you missed what I said. We need to talk to the king about the war, its important.
Joo Dee: You're in Ba Sing Se now, everyone is safe here.
She says with that grin that just unnerved you.
On the way through the city in a carriage, Joo Dee was mostly just explaining the stuff about the walls while you were zoning in and out of consciousness. You just looked out the window thinking.
Y/N: 'Where could she be? This city is huge and I don't even know what ring to check, then there's Appa. He may not even be here. He could have been sold on the black market somewhere. With Ms. Smiles-a-lot here guarding us, I don't think we're gonna have much freedom to look.'
Your thoughts continued through the ride as you were mostly just bored out of your mind as you sat in between Joo Dee and Sokka.
A thud is heard as the carriage shakes for a bit which forces you to snap out of your thoughts as you raise your fists, ready to fight.
