The Date

"So what's her name?"asked Liam.

The boys had just got off the bus and were now speedily power-walking across the green. Well Aiden was practically sprinting as he was desperate to get laid and Liam was just trying to keep up with the taller boy. Apparently they weren't far from Trinas house give or take five minutes. Aiden was talking Liam through the game play and his strategy for the evening. Who knew girls were so complicated?

Aiden gave him a blank stare, "How the fuck should I know? Does it matter?".

"Kinda. Yeah".

"You better not let me down"he warned, his hands digging deep in his jean pocket fending himself against the cold night air.

He paused for a minute, looking thoughtfully at Liam's direction. Liam half expected him to moan about his outfit again and in hindsight wearing sweats and a random white top with holes in had been an error in judgement. His untameable mousy brown hair was hidden under a black beanie. Liam had unsuccessfully tried to pass it off that he was going for the minimum effort look. Perhaps he should of said that sweats were easier to pull off when getting down and dirty. Not that he'd know of course.

Aiden of course had managed to successfully complete the just got out of bed look and damn he looked good in his skinny black jeans and his edgy black band tee although he did look stupid not wearing a coat in the middle of January.

"Have you done this before?"asked Aiden quietly.

Liam blinked in surprise, not by the question but the sensitive way Aiden was trying to ask. "Gone on a date?"he asked, pointedly ignoring the indirect question. Although admitting he'd never gone on a date before didn't exactly help his case either.

Aiden shook his head. "No, you idiot. Had sex before?".

Liam laughed, "No. Don't really get the opportunity to meet many girls in an all boys school".

That wasn't quite true as their mate Jimbo had a girlfriend and she would often bring her friends along on nights out and Aiden had met Trina on the bus home from school. There had been parties and trips to the shopping centre where they had flirted with girls outside McDonald's. Or that time at the swimming pool until Weasel had been kicked out and temporarily banned for lewd conduct. Liams problem was that he was painfully shy and up until recently wasn't interested. He wouldn't even say he was overly interested now but more curious.

"Have you?"he asked curiously although he already knew what the answer was.

Aiden scoffed, "what do you think?".

Liam rolled his eyes although Aiden was no longer looking at him as his eyebrows were furrowed in concentration as he looked down at his phone and then glanced at the house numbers. He suddenly grabbed Liams arm and pulled him backwards turning round until they reached a small detached house with a small green hedge. Aiden patted Liams arm and gestured for him to follow.

They ambled up the garden path until they reached the front door. Aiden hesitantly looked at Liam who shrugged and looked away before confidently knocking loudly on the door.

They waited a few minutes, hearing loud music and the sound of laughter in the background.

Aiden shifted on his feet impatiently while Liam waited uncomfortably next to him when the door swung open with force and they were greeted by a girl with a tumble of red hair and a mass of freckles. She sported a massive grin as she pulled Aiden by the arm and pulled him inside.

"Hi I'm Trina"greeted Trina, with a welcoming smile as she shook Liams hand as he stepped nervously into the hallway.

A girl with raven long hair and piercing green eyes stood watching them all from the doorframe of the living room. As she saw Liam. She raised her eyebrow and smirked as her eyes trailed over his body.
