Monday morning Liam was surprised to find Aiden waiting impatiently for him by his locker at school. Liam felt his heart skip a beat as he stood frozen momentarily noticing the scowl on Aidens face, his eyes honing in on his strong jawline and stubble. He tried to resist the urge to move closer and lean in although he could already feel Aidens masculine scent and warmth."Are you busy tonight?"asked Aiden, shoving his hands casually deep into his pockets. "I want a do over".
Liam turned to look at Aiden, feeling slight amused, "A do over? We literally just went on a date yesterday".
"That does not count. Next time there will be zero gatecrashers or if there are I'll seriously tell them to fuck off".
"I enjoyed it"teased Liam. "Besides it might blow your cover if you tell them that".
Aiden was quiet for a moment as he traced his finger round the palm of Liams hand, "Maybe I'm not so bothered about that anymore".
Liam smiled brightly, "Maybe I'm not so bothered either"he added warmly.
Suddenly they were interrupted by Dom crashing into both of them and slinging his arms over both their shoulders. Both boys instantly released themselves from Doms grip. Aiden pulled the straps of his backpack tightly over his shoulders and gave a quick nod and wave at Dom and Liam before heading down the corridor towards his first class.
Dom looked slightly confused. "Was it something I said?".
"Probably"Liam chuckled slightly and gave Dom a playful shove.
"You two have been spending a lot of time together. I thought I was meant to be your best friend"Dom continued to pry.
"Ahhh you jealous? I'm honoured, I thought Weasel was your best friend"teased Liam, ruffling Doms hair causing the boy to scowl back in annoyance.
"Hell no!"replied Dom indignantly. "You know after you left Nando's yesterday Jimbo was been making jokes about you guys being on a double date"he added in a neutral tone.
Liam laughed nervously and scratched the back of his head, he looked back at Doms expressionless face and he clearly wasn't giving anything away.
"Yeah, sure. It was a date...because that's what we're doing now"Liam deadpanned. "Tell Jimbo to get a hobby that does not involve my love life".
Dom's jaw dropped slightly, "What love life?".
.................
Liam raised both eyebrows when Aiden opened the carrier bag he brought with him and produced two bottles of coke, two subway sandwiches and two bags of crisps.
"How romantic"teased Liam as Aiden passed him over the food. "Did you pack candles as well?".
"Why am I with you?"muttered Aiden.
"Because you lurve me"said Liam, emphasising the word love as he opened up the bag of crisps and shoved a couple in his mouth.
Aiden looked at his boyfriend and hummed softly.
Liam sighed and stared at the breathtaking view in front of him. Aiden had taken them to the local park for their date where they were currently sitting on a tree trunk where in the distance they could just about make out the sky line of the capital as the sun set in the distance.
"I swear I can see the Gerkin from here"commented Aiden as he bit into his sandwich.
"We'll have to go there one day. Catch the tube, wander round Oxford Street and do all the touristy stuff together"suggested Liam.
"Deal"agreed Aiden.
They sat in silence for a few minutes eating their makeshift picnic and watching the world go by as they enjoyed the presence of each other's company. Once they were finished Aiden pulled his boyfriend off the trunk and took him up to the top of the hill to all the trim trail equipment.
Liam raised a brow, "You just wanted to take me on a date so you can show me all your muscles".
"I don't need a date for that"Aiden responded with a smirk.
Liam rolled his eyes as his boyfriend pulled off his T-shirt revealing his toned, muscular torso. Aiden walked over to one of the bars and effortlessly pulled himself up using his arms and continued the movement a couple of times before jumping off.
"Very impressive"commented Liam enjoying the view.
"Now it's your turn".
Liam snorted, "Your having a laugh arnt you? Me? The only boy in our year that managed to fail PE".
"That was mainly because you kept forgetting to bring your PE kit to school besides maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to see my boyfriend topless".
"But it's cold"whined Liam but took off his top anyway. He reluctantly moved over to the bars and heaved himself up making a few grunts as his face reddened from the strain of his movement.
"Very impressive. I make that one"snorted Aiden as Liam jumped off.
"Fuck off".
"I love you too, babe"retorted Aiden, who then froze as he realised what he just said. His boyfriend who had turned round to show him his middle finger suddenly stopped when he saw his expression.
His heart melting, he smiled softly and walked over to the other boy and gently kissed him on the lips and squeezed his hand reassuringly. "Me too"he said quietly.
Aidens eyes brightened as he gazed at the other boy fondly returning his kiss before awkwardly coughing and pointing over to the next piece of equipment. Liam nodded in agreement and both boys wandered over to the monkey bars. Again Aiden zoomed across with minimal effort while Liam watched, his mouth agape as he wondered how he was going to recreate his boyfriends movements. Liam sighed as he warily proceeded to swing himself across before dropping once he reached the third rung of the ladder. He grumbled to himself before trying again unfortunately doing worse than his first attempt making Aiden laugh in response.
"The other two look easy enough"commented Aiden giving Liam a reassuring pat on the back as he made his way to the balance beam.
After both boys successfully completed the beam they moved on to the wooden pyramid climbing ladder.
"What next?"asked Liam as he reached the bottom. "We could go on the swings"he said pointing to the kids playground.
"Nah"said Aiden shaking his head as he closed the gap between the two of them. His finger lifting up Liams chin as his hand roughly squeezed his arse causing the other boy to squeal. "I know one or two things we can do together"he said, his mouth meeting Liams for a passionate embrace.
