"So where are we going?"Liam continued to pester Aiden as they watched the bus they had just got off pull away.Aiden smirked and started to walk. "Not telling".
"I hate surprises"whined Liam. "And what is it with you sprinting everywhere. It's like you don't want to walk beside me or something"he complained as he struggled to keep up with Aidens fast pace as they headed towards the high street.
"Nando's?"Liam asked warily.
"Hey! So I lack imagination"Aiden said indignantly, waving his arms in front of him and grinned. "Anyway everyone loves a cheeky Nando's".
"Uh huh"Liam raised his eyebrows. "You do know I'm vegetarian?".
Aiden stopped in his tracks and paused to look at the younger boy, a scowl forming on his face. Liam bit his lip and looked down at his shoes avoiding direct eye contact when suddenly Aiden shoved him sharply. Liam staggered back slightly struggling to regain balance which made it difficult when he was trying to hold back from laughing.
"You fucker"swore Aiden. "I've just remembered all the times you've eaten meat".
"I'm sorry"gasped Liam, his eyes glistening. "But your face. Totally worth it".
"So what would you like to order, my treat"said Aiden, deciding to ignore Liams teasing as he continued to laugh at his own bad joke.
Liams eyes widened in surprise, "I don't expect you to pay. I have money on me".
"You can treat us then on our next date"said Aiden and then wacked the other boy on the head with the menu. "Now choose as I was hoping we may have time for desert later".
Both Liams brows raised at the last comment as he bit his lip and smiled, "Desert huh?".
Aiden rolled his eyes, "Dont br such a pervert! I was talking about the chocolate kind".
"I'm disappointed now"pouted Liam playfully. "Anyway I will have whatever your having and a co...."his voice drifted off as his attention was drawn suddenly to the boy in front of him.
"Oh shit"muttered Aiden, his eyes widening. He quickly averted his eyes and moved the menus closer to him, sinking down into his seat and hiding his face with his hands.
Liam looked at questioningly and slowly turned round only for Aiden to quickly hit his hand and hiss at him. "Don't look"he warned.
Liam rolled his eyes, "Yeah, cos they really won't be able to see you behind that menu".
"What the fuck are we going to do?"panicked Aiden.
Liam shrugged, smiling widely he turned round and waved his hand in the air to the instant annoyance of his date. The four teenagers stood at the entrance suddenly noticed Liam and Aiden sitting at one of the tables, surprise and confusion appeared across their faces. It was Jimbo who first made the move over to his table followed by Hanna, Dom and then Trina.
Trina had a slight smirk on her face as she entwined her arms around Doms waist. Probably because she was seeing clearly what the other three were failing to realise. It looked like a date. Both of them dressed smartly in dress shirts and smart jeans. Aiden cologne was musky, heavily fumigating their small seating area while Liam had clearly made an effort with his hair using gel to tame his waves.
Jimbo did an exaggerated cough and waved his hand in the air, "Man, did you empty a bottle of cologne over your body by accident? I can barely breathe".
Aiden scowled at Jimbo, "what the hell are you fuckers doing here?".
"Nice to see you too"Jimbo muttered sarcastically. "Double date. Unfortunately we missed the film so we are killing time until the next showing. What are you doing here with Clarke?".
"What's it look like?"answered Aiden, abruptly. "Eating obviously".
"Do you want to join us?"asked Liam, ignoring the flash of annoyance on Aidens face.
Jimbo glanced at the others to which none of them had any objections. He slid in besides Aiden on the booth with Hanna following him as Trina and then Dom sat next to Liam. Jimbo smirked as he looked at the two of them, "I don't want to ruin your date".
Aiden rolled his eyes, "Yes because clearly that's what this is"he deadpanned.
"I could go on all night"teased Jimbo, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he looked at them both.
"Please don't"muttered Aiden.
"So what movie are you seeing?"asked Liam, rapidly trying to change the subject as he gently nudged his boyfriends foot under the table.
"Jumanji. Your quite welcome to join us as long as you don't mind being fifth and sixth wheel"offered Jimbo with a grin.
Liam looked questioningly at Aiden who shook his head, "I'd rather die than sit in a cinema for two hours while you four get it on in the back".
"Bit extreme. A simple no would of sufficed"said Jimbo. "Oh and pot, kettle and black comes to mind".
"So what are you two doing after this?"asked Trina curiously.
"Home"answered Aiden, clearly still annoyed about his date being interrupted while Liam rolled his eyes at his boyfriends abruptness and gave him a warning nudge.
Liam watched as Dom suddenly got up taking the menu with him as he walked over to the counter to order. He turned to look at Aiden and impatiently tapped the table in front of him, "You going to order or what? If I wait any longer I might just have to eat you!",
A grin formed on Aidens face as he stood up, "Oh really?". Liam swotted him impatiently with the menu and Aiden held his hand up mockingly in surrender, "Jeez I'm going...I'm going! Keep your hair on Clarke".
Jimbo suddenly looked up from his menu and glanced at the two of them slightly puzzled. "Are you paying for his meal?".
Aiden paused and stood for a moment hesitating as he wondered how to respond. "I would offer to pay for you but I know your a rich fucker"he snapped back. "I'm a little hurt you havnt offered".
With those parting words Aiden stormed off to the counter and joined Dom to order.
"Jeez I only made a comment. What crawled up his arse and died?"said Jimbo, shaking his head in disbelief. He turned to Hanna who told him her order and got up and joined the two other boys at the counter.
Liam blinked when he realised that both Hanna and Trina were grinning at him like a pair of Cheshire cats.
His eyes narrowed, "What?".
"I think you both look cute together"said Trina. "Just saying".
Liams eyes widened, "What?".
Hanna rolled her eyes, "Come on! The pair of you are so obvious. I'm surprised Dom and Janes haven't noticed it already".
"That's because they're men and oblivious in general"commented Trina.
"Hey! I'm a man".
"So how long have you two been going out?"asked Trina curiously, leaning in closer. Liam noticed Hanna doing their same from the corner of his eye.
"Officially only about a couple of weeks"admitted Liam blushing slightly as he looked down at the table to avoid the girls scrutinising gaze.
Trina looked surprised, "Damn! I thought it was a couple of months at least".
"Unofficially it probably is".
The two girls squeaked in delight but contained their grins as the three boys walked back to the table and sat down.
"What are you three gossiping about?"asked Dom accusingly.
"Nothing"declared Trina, smiling sweetly as she shook her head. "Absolutely nothing at all".
