Chapter 29

"Rae what the hell?!" I screamed. She stood there not even bothered by the fact that there were two naked men in front of her. I bet she was enjoying it. "I said get up!" She said leaving and slamming the door behind her. Nialls face was as red as a tomato from the embarrassment. I don't even care anymore, Rae has seen me naked so many times I don't have anything to hide. Niall jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom and started his shower.

I fixed the bed just by picking up the comforter and throwing it back on the mattress. The maid will come in and fix it later but then I heard a sound. It sounded like a singing voice. A male singing voice. I walked back into the bathroom and it was Niall singing a song I've never heard before. It was a good song.

"What is that?" I asked. He jumped and turned around. "Jesus Jess you scared the shit out of me." He screamed. I laughed. "What was that you were singing?" He stopped talking because he was washing his hair. I grabbed a towel out of the cabinet and got in the glass box with him.

"It was a song I wrote called 'Illusion.' It was the first song I ever wrote." He said. I pushed him out of the water and stood in it myself. I could help but stare at Niall as the water glistened in the sunlight. "I wrote it the day I met you." He said. I felt myself blush. I grabbed the shampoo of the rack and squirted it into my hands and rubbing it in my hair and then letting the water rinse out all the bubbles.

Niall and I both stood in the glass box and finished showering then we got all ready to leave before we left I realized that I forgot my phone. I ran back to our room and grabbed it off the nightstand and saw that I had one twitter notification. I unlocked my phone and went to the tweet. It read: “@JesseMac I know where you are.” There was a picture of the hotel we were staying at attached to the tweet. “Niall look at this.” I showed him the tweet. Liam, Rae, and Avery all gathered around to see it. “That’s scary but we have around the clock security guards we will be fine.” Liam said.

“Wait! Where’s Kai?” Avery asked. I haven’t seen him since last night before we left for the date. Oh well we will see him at Madison Square Garden in a couple of hours. “I don’t know where he is but let’s go eat.” We headed for the door and right as Liam opened it I heard running footsteps and the bookcase that was by mine and Niall’s door fell over making a loud bang. We all jumped and turned around but no one was there so we left.

Lunch was great we went to some place called Jo’s Diner. I had chocolate chip pancakes and they were huge. Liam and Rae split a country fried steak sandwich and niall got a shrimp po boy. Avery got scrambled eggs and hash browns that were “scattered, smothered, and covered” so the menu said. Whatever that means? Rae and Liam paid and then we headed to the arena in a black minivan with black windows.

About a mile away from the MSG were girls and boys lining up to get in the arena. A few of them were holding signs and posters while others were wearing sleeping bags and holding McDonalds bags. The car maneuvered around the crowds of fans and into the garage under the arena where all of my trucks that carried my stage were parked. Niall and I went into the arena and on the stage to test the mics. We sang forever and always. About midway through the song I realized something was missing. Kai still wasn’t here. When the song finished my lighting director came in and started testing the lights that were hanging on silver crossbars that were hanging on ropes from the ceiling.

I decided to call Kai. I got my phone out and dialed his number. It rang ten times with no answer. I left a message. “Hey Kai its Jess. We are already at the arena and I was just calling to check on you and to make sure that you were still coming to the show tonight. Call me back as soon as you get this message. We are really worried about you. See ya soon.” I hung up my phone and slid it back into the back pocket of my grey skinny jeans.
