Hospital Day 2

"Sarah!" Suddenly Mary came crashing through the door to my hospital room.

"Mary?!" I choked as I inhaled food. "What are you doing here?"

"What the hell do you THINK I'm doing here?!" She yelled as tears streamed down her cheeks. "You tried to kill you self! After everything we've been through you still felt like you couldn't come to me about all this? You know I've been through some shit, I've had depression before and still sometimes fight with it-"

"That's why I didn't say anything! I didn't want to make you feel like this was your problem or that you had anything to do with it, you didn't! All you've ever done is try to help me and you have but you know just as well as me that even when you have people to talk to it doesn't always help." I said as she sat on the bed next to me.

"I know, I'm sorry for yelling at you, I was just worried and upset. Did something happen that I need to know about?" She asked softly.

*Yeah but I can't tell you otherwise you'll tell Y/N's mum and you'll have the police after someone that is considered a 'story' and Y/N will get into trouble for not saying anything.* I thought as I sighed.

"No, I just got caught in my thoughts and it didn't go so well, one thing led to another and I ended up thinking of before you saved me and... I just didn't want deal with it anymore." I said quietly.

"Oh Sarah, I'm sorry I haven't been there for you as much now that I have my new job but please! Whatever happens, don't be scared to come to me, ok?" She said as she hugged me.

"Yeah ok, I promise." I smiled weakly.

"Now, moving on from all the dark and dreary stuff... who is that boy I just saw leaving?" Said Mary with a smirk.

"Oh god, here it comes. That's Toby-"

"YOUR BOYFRIEND! I KNEW IT!" Interrupted Mary excitedly.

"No! He's just a friend! No one to worry about." I said as I rolled my eyes, remembering that no one is supposed to know about them.

"When can I meet him? I wanna know what sort of guy he is, and don't even think I didn't see Y/N with a boy yesterday! Who is he? What's he like? When can I meet him? Do I need to know anything?" She asked as she put her hands on her hips.

"They're both just friends! They're shy and don't really like people, they get really bad anxiety attacks around new people, I don't think you'll be able to meet them." I said as she sighed.

"So he's similar to you when it comes to people but slightly worse." Said Mary as she looked at me with a slightly concerned expression.

"Yeah, because of his Tourette's he was bullied and has to be home schooled because of his anxiety and depression." I said.

"Oh that poor boy." She said as her expression softened.

"Yeah, I tripped in front of his house one day after school and dropped all my things, he managed to get up the courage to come help me and we ended up talking for a little bit, when he told me he only had one friend because his mum babysat a boy when he was younger and later adopted him cause his father abused him I gave him my number and said I'd be his friend." I said as Mary smiled.

"That's so sweet, your one of the nicest people out there Sarah, you really are, so about Y/N's new guy, what's he like?" She asked.

"He's Toby's friend Jeffery or Jeff, they're only friends, his father abused him and one day he got really drunk, he cut a smile into his face before he poured bleach over him and set him on fire, his mother managed to put him out and get him to the hospital but the damage was already done, he can't blink anymore and his skin is a pale white because of the bleach, Toby's mum decided to adopt him and home school them because of their conditions." I said trying not to give too much away.

"That's horrible! What kind of father could do that to his own child?! I'm glad he's safe now though." Said Mary as she put her hand on mine.

"Saaaarrraaaahhh!" Called Y/N as she swung open the door with an armful of my favourite food and drinks.

"Oh my god! Y/N! What have you done?!" I laughed as I looked at the stack of food she threw on the end of my bed and the drinks she put on my bedside table.

"That's not even all of it! We're having a girls day! And look! It just started raining!" She smiled happily as she dumped her extremely overstuffed bag on the floor.

"Well, I only came over before work, so I'll get going and talk to you later, bye." Said Mary as she kissed my cheek and left the room.

"Now what on gods earth have you done? Look at all this! What's in the bag?" I sighed with a giggle as she crouched down to open the bag.

"I raided my room for all our favourite things, then I asked Mary if I could raid your room too!" She smiled happily as she showed me the contents of her bag.

"Oh no, look at all this!" I laughed.

"We don't have to use it all." She giggled.

After deciding what we wanted to use from the massive bag of stuff she sat on the end of my bed, put on a playlist of our favourite songs, we talked and laughed, stuffed our faces full of our favourite foods and had one of the best girls days we've had in a long time.

HEY!
Wow it's been a while, I'm really sorry about that, I keep having things pop up in my personal life, I hit a point where my mental health plummeted again and I was back to sleeping all day and crying all the time, splitting headaches that wouldn't go away, appetite loss and lack of concentration. On top of all that a few of my family members have been really sick, one nearly had a heart attack another has been diagnosed with multiple cases of cancer and corona has spread to my town, I'm doing everything I can to stay safe and keep my mental health where it needs to be and I hope I've figured most things out and uploading can go back to once or twice every week or so.

I just want to say an incredibly HUGE thank you to everyone who has continued to support me and my stories, it means the world to me and more!
