Chapter Seven

Zorex The Demon King

Zorex smiled as he climbed off the giant black steed as he looked over what was left of Celestine. As soon as this place enslaved a demon princess it had declared war with the kingdom of Hell. Though Zorex declared it wouldn't be over until his hands were wrapped around Prince Constantine's throat. That snivelling Prince would regret the day he lay his grubby paws upon his daughter.

Zorex sneered as he looked down at the sobbing being at his feet. This human mage had dared to try and suppress his daughter with cuffs that drained magic, now this so called mage was nothing but a simpering worm and once Zorex had this prisoner back in hell he would die a long and painful death, as would the other nobles that he had taken prisoner from this deprived kingdom.

"Any news on Prince Constantine?" Zorex said turning when one of his scouting party returned.

"We tracked him to a forest but it's protected by forest guardians. We know the Prince entered but the guardians won't let us enter,"

Zorex nodded at this, demons magic did not mix well with that of the fey and was probably why the guardians wouldn't let them enter. A demons magic came from the void and from darkness, and could drain that of a fey. On the other end a powerful fey could use their magic to overfeed a demon and have the demon burning t ash; it was wise that the two species didn't mix, though Zorex had no fight with them.

Zorex being a demon may by nature be sadistic but even demons draw the line at hurting children, and the amount of elf and faerie children he let escape he felt the fey and demon kind should have a common goal, a goal to put an end to the Celestine Kingdom. Demons after all were created to punish the wrong doers and that's what Zorex would do. He would get his hands on Prince Constantine and drag him back to the pits of hell.

"So we are going to help them find the Grand Grimoire?" Ragamuffin was shocked by the sudden announcement his husband made.

"Don't get me wrong I don't trust them, not at all but I want to find out what they are up too, and maybe we could use the Grand Grimoire to stop any plans that annoying Prince has,"

"Maybe I could just call the forest guardian to rip him to bits,"

Hodge raised an eyebrow at Ragamuffin's words. It was rare that faerie had any malicious intent but then this was Prince Constantine they were talking about, and Hodge also really wanted to do some serious harm to him. Though getting the Grimoire could help them put an end to countless kingdoms like Celestine, maybe they could also join forces with the demons once they found out why they attacked Celestine. Maybe the Grimoire had a way to stop a demons and fey magic being harmful to each other, for that they needed Lloyd, the knight had claimed to have memorised a map to find it in his head. So of course Hodge would claim that he also wanted to stop the demons while in reality he wanted to destroy kingdoms like Celestine.
