The King of Celestine had ran when the demons first showed up, him and his mage who was responsible for enslaving so many fey children. He looked at the bold headed mage next to him who had promised to take him to the next human kingdom Voltrain. The king Gallyford knew the mage just wanted to save his own skin, but then Gallyford should have expected nothing more being since the queen's death he had surrounded himself with sociopathic snakes.

He thought back to his late wife, her ideas didn't match his. She wanted to abolish slavery and live in harmony with the fey, she had grand ideas and her ideas were frowned upon by most of kingdom. Though they were a few that had begin to agree with her, they would have been a civil war if she hadn't had died while giving birth to the prince.

Gallyford was glad she had died, in fact he was planning to have her killed and put an end to the uprising that could have seen fey in the kingdom that weren't slaves. He was also glad that his son had his ideas. Constantine treated the fey like the dirt they were, the fey to him were just cattle to have their magic drained.

"I believe the prince is still alive my liege," The mage Markus said kneeling over a pool which he was using to see where the prince was, and Gallyford thought it was a handy little trick. "He's with the knight Lloyd and some fey beings,"

"Fey beings?" Gallyford sneered. He remembered Lloyd was on the queen's side, he only kept him around because he swore an oath to protect Constantine. Lloyd in his younger years was a great warrior but now the aging knight was kept around as an adviser, though right now Gallyford wished he had had the knight killed with when the knight's first grey hairs started to show.

"Yes my liege, an elf and a faerie, and oh they have an orc woman with them," Markus looked up shocked.

The King pulled a face hearing this, who in the right mind would befriend an orc. They were fierce creatures.

"They seem to be going to the forest of foreboding. I would advise that we don't follow as there's many races of fey that are dangerous and some we don't even know about," Markus said, he had survived the demon onslaught so he didn't want to face some being that could kill him in the forest.

"My son was foolish following Lloyd," Gallyford nodded, "You are correct we should leave him and carry on our journey to Voltrain,"

Markus smiled at this, the king was well known for caring about no one but himself. Markus wondered if the King actually cared about his son, and now his cold words told Markus that indeed the king cared about no one but himself.

"That is wise my liege, the faerie I feel carries powerful magic and the elf is a warrior,"

"Not to mention the orc, seems like I might need a new heir to the throne," Gallyford said coldly.
