Lilly-Blue watched sadly as the small wagon was packed with supplies for the journey that her brother and Hodge would take to the forest of foreboding . She wished she was going as well because at the centre of the forests was the city of Darkfaun, the capital city for the fey. She could only imagine the how tall the trees were and the magic, not to mention she might be lucky and get to see the Faerie empress Starlabell, the most powerful and beautiful of all the fey beings.

Lilly-Blue had considered hiding herself away on the wagon but she knew that would cause her maid Fauna so much worry, so she promised to be good and let Fauna take care of her. She didn't mind the idea, Fauna was kind and Lilly-Blue liked playing with her cat Mr Jingles who Lilly- Blue often found following her into the tree house palace. Mr Jingles was a good friend and Fauna had said the large black tom cat had also decided to guard Lilly-Blue.

What the small faerie didn't like though was that her brother and Hodge would be gone so long, she had never been separated from her brother for more than day or two and even then she still had Hodge around. It would seem odd without her family, she hoped Fauna wouldn't mind reading her bed time stories, her brother always told her the best stories to help her sleep.

"I will back before you know it, now be good for Miss Fauna," Ragamuffin said squatting down to look at his younger sister. He would miss her but they couldn't take a child on such a quest. The journey through the forest of foreboding was safe if you stayed on the main paths, Ragamuffin knew they would have to venture into more dangerous places, they were small towns all through the forest and some of them were not pleasant places and certainly not places he would take his eight year old sister.

"I'm going to miss you, but I will take care of Miss Fauna and Mr Jingles while you are gone. I will also help Rosfey guard the town from bandits,"

"Well it's a good thing we have you while your brother and Hodge is gone," Fauna smiled warmly then laughed slightly as Hodge winked in a friendly way at her.

Hodge knew that Fauna was the best one to look after Lilly-Blue. The maid had been born in the town and from a young age the animals of the forest had protected her. Hodge could remember when the young elf that at the time was younger then Lilly-Blue had gone missing in the forest for days, only for her to turn up on the back of a gryphon of all things.

Fauna had explained how she went on the quest, for what? No one ever did find that out, but she had got lost. There she met a gryphon who helped her find her way back home. Wild animals didn't trust bad people, and the amount that would gather around Fauna well the elf maiden must be more like an angel.

"Also if you meet a golden dragon who wants to eat the humans just drop my name," Fauna laughed.

Hodge laughed shaking his head though he didn't doubt the elf maiden had managed to befriend a dragon at some point. Which may come in handy, dragons were fierce creatures though if you managed to gain their trust they were loyal and honourable creatures.
