- CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT: THE LAST BATTLE 章 38: 最後の戦い
My eyes fluttered open as i looked at the surroundings around me.
"Gyeongi, RUN!" Percy warned as a manticore ran towards me, attempting to set it claws onto me.
Thanks to Percy's warning, i managed to dodge the attack, as i grasped my sword and sliced it through the manticore's body, leaving it lifeless to die on the ground.
Still confused about what was going on, i looked around as i tried to figure what kind of situation i was in.
We weren't inside the cluttered cave anymore, instead, we were outside, near Old Rome. The buildings, compared to how they looked like when we first arrived, was now crushed down and ruined.
Several creatures attacked other demigods, that somewhat seemed like the roman demigods from Camp Jupiter.
My theory was correct, as i spotted Frank and Hazel from a distance, as they took down another cyclops, which somewhat looked like another brother of Polyphemus.
Yoongi and Hoseok were already mounting a wolf, as Grover worked in hand with Jungkook as they were struggling to fight down another creature which i had trouble with detecting what was.
"THERE YOU ARE!" A voice spoke up to me.
My eyes automatically traveled to the noise, as i felt the ground shake with every stomp this man took. He was enormous, even taller than Polyphemus.
He wasn't made out of flesh and blood, but instead, he was driven out of stones and electricity. His head had two grown out horns, and his fingers as sharp as ever. Gazing up at him, he could have been at least 50 feet tall.
"Don't tell me you don't recognize me...," He chuckled, as he attempted to smash me down with his fists.
Still confused about what was going on, i quickly dodged his attack as i tried to outrun him. Though, it was impossible as he was too huge.
He scanned my movements before he forcefully grabbed my body, capturing me tight in his embrace.
"got you...," He mumbled, his deep voice sending shivers through my body.
The unknown giant brought me up to meet his eyes, as he stared at me with intense eyes.
"I warned your father not to have another child, but LOOK! He broke the rules and made you, yet you are the worst warrior i have seen!" The man laughed, as he looked at me with a pitied look.
Upon his words, i finally realized who this man was.
The man who had sworn to kill me, the man whom my father and his brothers had worked hard on banishing-
