Elena knew that Damon was a vampire. It felt so surreal to her but knowing that didn't lessen her love to the "man of her dreams". Elena remembered when he told her that he wasn't a human. It was on a night she gathered with her family to watch a wrestling match. And of course Stefan was there too since he's so close to her brother, like Damon. She recalled admiring the strength of "John Cena" and that he used to carry huge wrestlers like Mark Henry or Big Show and then her boyfriend told her in front of everyone that he's much stronger than Cena. Elena arched an eye brow in disbelief since Cena does those heavy tough training and practicing, so, what Damon said couldn't be true. Damon had to show her that he's really that much strong. So, he had to lift her and her brother Jeremy as if carrying them was nothing. Elena gaped in awe couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Then it was Stefan's turn to talk.

"Don't be so surprised Elena" said Stefan knowingly.

"I can't... How could he do that?" asked Elena half breathing half holding her breath.

"We both can do more than that Lena- honey", said Damon seriously.

Alaric, Jenna and Jeremy were looking in anticipation to know what the Salvatore Brothers mean.

"We're... we're both vampires", said Damon and Stefan in the same time.

"You're what...." said Elena, Jeremy, Jenna and Alaric in the same whisper.

"We're vampires. We've been vampires since 1864", said the older Salvatore brother.

"Please don't be scared of us. We're never going to harm you in any way", said the younger Salvatore brother.

The Saltzman-Gilbert family was left speechless for a couple of hours. They couldn't believe their ears. And what a better way is than showing to believe. The Salvatores then started to show them their true nature, fangs, dark red-black eyes, high speed and reflexes. How the brothers had managed to survive the sunlight each and every day since 1864 wasn't a mystery anymore when they explained.

"After we were attacked by some guy, it turned out that he was a vampire..." said Damon seriously.

"Then we thought we wouldn't be able to survive alone in the night only, since we needed blood for 24/7 after our transaction", said Stefan carefully.

The brothers decided to spell out the truth since Damon had told Stefan about his intentions of marrying Elena. Although Stefan warned his older brother about the consequences of telling their truth to the Saltzman-Gilbert family yet Damon insisted to come clean. He assured his baby brother that he has a belief in Elena and that no matter what he's; she will still love and accept him and his brother for who they really are.

"Then we met a witch called Emily Bennett, Bonnie's great grandmother. She was kind enough to help us in both our thirst and vulnerability towards the light" said Damon seriously.

"She was of a great help, we learned to control ourselves at first, and then she gave us two magical rings that would enable us to day walking freely" said Stefan almost whispering.

"Then Bonnie could be a witch herself" said Elena distractingly.

"Yes! She could be", said the brothers in the exact moment.

They were holding their breaths, couldn't figure out how the reaction of this family might be. They honestly loved them. They hated lying about their nature since day one when Stefan started to play baseball with Jeremy for the college and the day Damon saw Elena and fell in love with her at first sight.
