Chapter "13"

Damon and his younger brother Stefan were waiting for the other guys to show up at their mansion. They were listening to a Mozart musical piece when the doorbell rang. Stefan went to answer the door. It was only Matt who arrived early who was followed by Klaus.

"Hey buddy. How are you doing?" said Alaric gleefully.

"Hey Ric. How are you? I'm fine. Get in. Is Jeremy with you?" asked Stefan.

"Yes, I'm here. How have you been Stef?" said Jeremy teasingly.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me Stef? It's Stefan not Stef," said Stefan faking anger.

"But why when Elena calls you that you don't get mad?" said Jeremy asking.

"Because she can do that beside my brother. She's going to be his wife someday. Maybe then I'll let you call me that," said Stefan laughingly.

"Don't mind my little brother's mood swings. Come in guys," said Damon laughingly.

"Hey mates. How are you?," said Klaus cheerfully.

"Hi there Klaus. We're fine. Come in," said Stefan.

"Thanks man," said Klaus.

"How's New York? And work?" asked Damon.

"It was cool but lonely," sighed Klaus.

"Oh looks like someone is so head over heels here," said Matt teasingly.

"Hey Matt mate, how are you? And yes, I'm. Nothing to be ashamed about. Dude you're as head over heels with my baby sis Bekkah as me with my Care," said Klaus teasingly back.

"Ha-ha. You both are. Now shall we get ready? Klaus, why don't you go ahead and take a shower man. You look so tired," said Alaric.

"Yes, thanks mate. I'm so tired, God knows. But since it's our Elena's night and Care would kill me if I'm not there I've to relax for a bit and get ready for tonight's party," explained Klaus.

"Then it's settled. The rest of us will get ready then," said Damon.

"How's work Ric buddy?," asked Damon while putting on his white tux.

"It's a little bit hectic. Exams are soon and my wife is due to at any time," sighed Alaric tiredly.

"You know that there's no need to worry about that. I'm here and I'm going to help her through it. After all it's an honor to help my fiancée's cousin to come to this world comfortably," said Damon soothingly.

"I know. And thanks buddy for all you do. I don't know what I'd do if you weren't here," smiled Alaric to his buddy.

He became quickly friends with his niece's fiancé. Their friendship is so strong. He knows he'll look for his two baby girls.

"Have you thought about a name for the little girl?" asked Damon.

"Aurora. Aurora-Marie Saltzman," said Alaric tenderly.

"Wow. It's a beautiful name indeed. Have you told the kids?," asked Damon sweetly.

"Dude. It was Elena's choice. And Jenna was jumping into happiness once we knew we're expecting a girl," said Alaric happily.

"Really? I didn't know that," said Damon knowingly.

"Your-soon-to-be-fiancée has a high taste in giving names for babies. I can't wait to see what she'll name your future babies," said Alaric teasingly while wearing his white tux.

"Ric," said Damon almost blushingly.

"Don't you Ric me. Let me be a happy father to be for having his baby to be born soon and his older daughter to be married soon," said Alaric.

Damon felt slightly being shy but he didn't mind Alaric's nosiness. He loves the man. Damon finished dressing up adding the final touch of wearing a lavender bowtie. He started to love this color because of his girlfriend. It became a habit of his that his thoughts end up about Elena.

"Hey Jer and Mattie. Are you finished?," asked Damon.

"Yes, we're," answered Matt.

"What about Klaus?," asked Stefan.

"I've finished as well. Just putting on the bowtie," said Klaus fixing his pink bowtie in its place.

Today, the gentlemen are all wearing white tuxs but with bowties matching the colors of their ladies' dresses.

"Let me just check my voice mail before leaving," said Klaus.

"Okay man. But hurry up. We can't be late for the ladies," said Alaric.

*Hello Mr. Miakelson. This is Gu Kang Chi, the CEO of Gu Corporation for Cell phones and Computers and your new business partner. I've been trying to reach you at home and cell phone but no answer. Sorry for searching for your personal contacts but I've some troublesome news. Some danger is approaching your town Mystic Falls. A legendary Japanese Vampire Hunter named Cross Kaien had sent us a warning that there's a witch who is a vampire at the same time. He's heading towards your town for a search for a cure for vampirism. He's so dangerous. He'd stop at nothing to get it. Klaus was so speechless after he heard this voice mail. It was Matt who came in to ask him to join them to go and get the ladies when he saw Klaus looked like dead.

"Klaus. Are you alright? I was calling you for minutes but you didn't answer me. Klaus, man what's wrong? Why do you look like that?" asked Matt worriedly.

"Get the other guys back here quickly," said Klaus breathlessly.

The guys returned back quickly and they were wondering what's wrong.

Klaus let the guys to hear the voice mail he just had listened to.

"What the actual hell? I won't let anything...," whispered Damon ruthlessly but was cut off by Stefan who was trying to calm him down.

"At least it's a good thing that we'll have help coming to us," said Jeremy seriously.

"Yes, and the Gu father and son are actually a Gumiho and half Gumiho or to be exact a nine-tailed foxes," explained Klaus trying to relax although his blood is boiling from the inside. He won't handle losing Caroline at all. He won't let that happen. He's so grateful for meeting and knowing the Gu family.

"Don't worry guys. We won't let anything happens to our ladies but Klaus how did you know that about this boy who left the message?" stated Alaric.

"Yes, we won't," said Damon strongly.

"We can't tell the girls of this voice mail tonight. We've to keep it a peaceful and cheerful night or they won't forgive us for ruining it," said Stefan.

"Yes, I agree with Stefan and to answer your question, Ric, I did a quick search on him just now," said Klaus seriously.
