I Love You, No Matter What You're

Chapter "1"

Elena woke up as usual at 7 o'clock. She brushed her teeth and washed her face. She came down for breakfast after awakening her brother Jeremy. Jenna was, in the kitchen, preparing breakfast for her niece & nephew; while her husband Alaric was making some coffee & tea.

"Good morning, Aunt Jenna and Uncle Alaric", said Elena.

"Good morning to you too Elena", said both Alaric and Jenna.

"Did your brother wake up?" said Jenna.

"Yes, he did. He's probably dressing on his way down by now", said Elena.

"Are you ready for your new job?" said Alaric.

"Yes, I can't wait to finally start. It's been my dream to be a reporter. I just love to write", said Elena happily.

"Yes, we know dear. And we hope that you'll be a very successful famous reporter one day, working for New York Times", laughed Alaric.

"Stop teasing her Rick", said Jenna.

"Why? You know I wish her nothing but the best Jen", said Alaric seriously.

Since he met and fell in love with Jenna Sommers, he came to love her nephew and niece as if they were his own children. And he plans on loving them even after Jenna will have their first born baby girl. He, just, can't stop treating Jeremy and Elena as his own children. He, maybe, wasn't there for them when they were kids and just had lost their parents but since the moment he met them he started immediately to treat them as if they his own; from his flesh and blood. And he always worries about them and about what is the best for them.

"Hi all", said Jeremy in gleeful voice.

"Hi there boy", said Alaric laughingly.

"Good morning, sweetie", said Jenna.

"Hi bro.", said Elena smiling.

"Are you ready for your last year in college?" said Jenna and Alaric.

"Oh, I can't wait till I graduate. Lucky you Elena, you've finally graduated", said Jeremy knowingly.

"Don't worry, Jer. Just hang in there and it will be over before you know it", said Elena.

"I hope so, Elena. Hope so", sighed Jeremy.

*Beep- Beep.* Elena checked her phone.

Elena smiled tenderly towards the text message she received. He always sends her messages every morning. It became their habit since they started dating, three years ago.

*Good morning Lena. I missed you yesterday. I hope you dreamed about me ;) as I dreamed about you. It was about our wedding day and you wore the most adorable white dress that I've ever seen and had this lavender bouquet that you love. Miss you and see you today at Mystic Grill.*

*PS, I'm going to stop by your newspaper, since I've a report about our new suite at the hospital. So, I guess I'll see you there and I will congratulate you before the party tonight that Care preapared.*

Elena almost forgot about tonight's party at the Mystic Grill. It was Caroline's specialty to make parties since they were in high school; Miss Mystic Falls and their prom. And Care, as her friends like to call her, likes to prepare them to perfection. And nothing is gonna interfere with tonight's party as well like the previous ones. What Elena didn't know is that Care will make it a big party not just her with her family and Damon Salvatore but all their best friends will be there with her family and the locals as well. Caroline asked her mum, Sheriff Forbes to help her in this one and to provide some officers since some students from Mystic High will attend as well and they love to party too much. Of course Care wanna everything runs smoothly and that means drunken students won't ruin her party *Elena's party*.

Elena finished her breakfast and kissed her aunt, her uncle and her brother goodbye. They all wished her the best of luck on her first day at the job.

Elena texted Damon back, on her way to work.

*Hello Damon-baby. How are you? Really? Did I look beautiful? ;) Of course I did but we were watching "Pirates of the Caribbean" and we had all the family with us, Stefan too ^_ ^ Wow honey, I'm so glad for you. I know that you're the owner of this idea. And it finally came true, your dream. So I guess I'll see you today.

PS. Can't wait for tonight. It's been a week since we saw each other and we both very busy and I wanted us to meet and have a romantic dinner. Text me when you arrive at the newspaper. There's a new girl I met, her name is Meredith Fell. She wanna meet this awesome doctor; Damon Salvatore she heard a lot about from me. But of course she'll be so surprised seeing us together and knowing that we're a couple xoxo <3 *
