When Elena arrived to the Miakelson mansion, everybody was there already. She went in and greeted all of them. Her Aunt Jenna was there carrying Elena's dress.
"Hi everyone. Missed you all so much," said Elena cheerfully.
"Hello Elena. How are you dear?" said Bonnie.
"I'm fine thanks for asking Bon. How about you?" asked Elena.
"Fine but working with those kids is really tiresome sometimes, you know!" said Bonnie.
"Yes, I know. We were once like that ourselves Bon. Don't worry. I can help you some time if you want. I can correct with you," said Elena sweetly to her best friend Bonnie. She hates to see her tired.
"Hi Elena and Bonnie. Missed you so much. How have you been ladies?" asked Rebekah joyfully.
"Welcome back dear. I'm fine. Missed you too," said Bonnie gleefully.
"Oh my God, if it isn't Rebekah Miakelson in the flesh. When did you return from New York? How's work? I've missed you so much as well," asked Elena happily seeing her friend Rebekah back in town.
"Yesterday, both Nick and I took the 5 o'clock plane back to Mystic Falls. We're so excited that our Elena finally started her job. It goes just fine. Congrats from the bottom of my heart Elena or should I say Miss Reporter?," said Rebekah sweetly.
"Junior Reporter. Still, I've a long road ahead me before I can myself a full reporter", said Elena knowingly.
"Don't worry dear. I feel that in no time you'll be a very successful reporter," said Rebekah encouragingly.
"Did you forget Bekkah? Our Lena is so modest and humble. She knows she's the best new Junior Reporter yet she won't ever say that. It's just not into her to boast about herself," said Bonnie sweetly.
"Yup. Yup. You're so right about that Bon," said Rebekah laughingly.
"Hello everyone. How are you? Gosh, I've missed you so much. Bekkah? Is that you? How are you dear? Give me a big hug sis," said Caroline quickly.
"Slow down girl. I'm fine Care. We all missed you and as you know especially Nick," said Rebekah teasingly.
Everyone laughed at Care's blushing face. They thought it was so cute although it's been a half year since she got engaged to Klaus Mikaelson.
"Hey Lena. Look at your dress for tonight's party. Aunt Jenna picked it up for you," said Caroline after she got over her embarrassment few moments ago.
"Oh my gosh! Wow!," is all what Elena could say after seeing the dress.
The dress; a gown to be exact was very perfect. It was with her favorite color; lavender. It was strapless with a white belt on the waist with lavender small flowers.
The girls started putting on their dresses on after taking showers. Elena went on her makeup while Rebekah made her hair. And after the makeup and the hair were done, she wore a simple lavender earrings and the moon with a heart inside it silver necklace that Damon gave her on their 2nd anniversary of dating. He told her that after she settles down in work they would planning their wedding soon and gave her a year after their engagement to prepare for the wedding. She knew he can't wait for her to carry his name officially and be his Mrs. Salvatore.
"Wow Lena. You look so beautiful and stunning like a fairy tale princess," grinned Rebekah.
"Really? Thanks," said Elena blushing sweetly.
