"You fucking idiot! Take my hand or I'll grab you!"
"Leave me be Kacchan!"
Bakugo groaned. He looked up to where Kirishima and the others were flying. He grabbed Midoriya by the waist and blast off the ground before Shigaraki could grab him. He took Kirishima's hand and grinned at him.
"You dumb idiots," he said to his friend.
Kirishima only grinned back. Midoriya wasn't cooperating. He kept twisting, trying to loose Bakugo's grip around him. Bakugo only held him tighter.
"Let go of me! This is my choice!"
"What about your mother? Did you think about that?"
Midoriya didn't answer but didn't stop twisting. He bit Bakugo's arm. He let go by surprise, dropping Midoriya. The police were quicker though. They catch the boy before he fell to his death. He was unconscious, breathing slowly in the arm of a police officer. Bakugo looked at his once childhood friend before landing with his classmates on the ground.
Deku, what happened?
Inko Midoriya looked at her son. He was handcuff, sitting in the chair across from her. He wasn't looking her. She smiled warmly.
"It was somewhere in February when your dad left to work overseas."
Izuku shifted his eyes to meet hers.
"You were just a little kid." She chuckled, looking down. "There was a bus coming to pick him up to go to the airport. I didn't want you to see the bus leaving, but there you were, outside. They let you sat behind the wheel, you were smiling. A bus in front of the house."
Izuku stared down. Inko looked at her son. She gave a little smile.
"They left shortly after. For a minute, I thought I might not see him ever. It was just you and me. And my whole world felt suddenly big. I realized we were just ants in this universe."
She chuckled. Izuku clutched his hands tighter.
"That night when I tucked you in bed, I'll never forget how you sat up and said 'Will there be another bus? One that'll take mommy away?'." She started sniffling. "The house felt very empty in that moment. I felt very small when you said that. It was like a bullet stopped my heart." She looked in his green eyes, her eyes. "That's when I knew I would miss some of your changes, I knew that I couldn't fill the space your father occupied, and I knew that I would come up short."
She was crying. Her son was looking at her. She could see his glassy eyes.
"And I did. And I do. And I will."
Izuku's eyes were tearing up. She sat up and walked towards him.
"But like that day in February, I'll hold your hand and squeeze it tight." She took his big hand and squeezed it. Her other hand was wiping his tears eyes. She looked at him. "I said that there weren't another bus coming to take me away. Your mom isn't going anywhere." She embraced him. "Your mom is staying right here no matter what." Izuku was crying on her shoulder. She hold him tighter. "I'll be here."
They stayed there, crying in each-other's arms. She could feel the metal chain of the handcuffs, but she didn't care. Her son was in her arms, alive and well.
"And if it all feels so big, till it all feels so small," she looked at him, "I'll be here."
Izuku cried once more in his mother's arms.
"I'm sorry mom. I'm so sorry," he cried.
"It's okay, Izuku," she said as she patted him on the back. "It's okay," she shushed.
Behind the glass, All Might looked at the little family and smiled to himself.
He's just a kid. A minor. He got influenced. He can follow the right way again. It's not the end.
Sorry for being late. I still technically posted on the 7th... don't forget to comment or vote if you liked it. It was very dark, but damn, I did cry while watching this video, so it deserves its little story. The person who posted this on YouTube (probably also the animator) is Mushie R. Go checked them out!
