All Might stares at us as we pant heavily. I gulp, wondering what made him so mad. Actually, nevermind, I know what made him so mad. I challenge Deku into a fight after curfew and All Might spotted us while I was pinning Deku down. I get off and glare at stupid Deku. He deserved it. He deserved everything.

All Might sighs as he sit down, legs crossed. He invites us to follow him. Deku sits down without hesitation. I look at All Might skeptically and follow their lead. All Might takes a deep breath.

"Close your eyes," he orders gently.

"Okay," replies Deku immediately.

"Breathe."

I am still unsure about this whole ordeal but follow his instruction. I take a deep breath and hear Deku doing the same.

"Here in darkness," echoes All Might's voice, "everything's okay. Listen to the waves and let them fade away."

There are no waves exactly, but I know he meant to focus on a sound. As the fireflies sing their midnight song, I feel my heartbeat slowing down. All Might is silent, so I open one eye to see if he was still alive. To my surprise, I find myself surrounded by a soft coral color with little lights and butterflies minding their business. I glance at Deku who is looking as fascinated as I am.

"Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love and trust," All Might is talking to us with closed eyes, smiling softly as if this area reminds him of something special. Deku starts muttering underneath his breath. I growl and hit him on the arm with my elbow.

"Ow!"

"Pay attention, nerd!"

"I am!"

I scoff and focus back on All Might.

"Let me tell you something, my boys. There will always be a thought that might alarm you. What someone said and how it harmed you," All Might looks to the side, his smile faltering. My stomach squeezes at the sight. I made him like that. "Something you did, that failed to be charming. Things that you say are suddenly swarming. And you're losing sight, you're losing touch. All these little things seem to matter so much that they confuse you," he is looking at us, his smile never leaving his face. I hear Deku holding a breath while my stomach seems to want to vomit all over myself. I hold it down. "That I might lose you."

This line makes us both look at him. Deku is mumbling about how he doesn't want All Might to be worried about him. I hit my elbow on his arm, making him shut up. I rest my eyes on the retired hero. I really hope he knows how to read eyes because I just want him to know that even if he is in his weak form, people still care about him. He simply laughs and his smile gets wider.

"Take a moment to remind yourself to take a moment and find yourself. Take a moment and ask yourself if this is how we fall apart. But it's not, this isn't how you fall apart. Everything is okay, these questions are normal. You've got nothing to fear. I'm here," he changes into his hero form, "I'm here."

He coughs and he flashes into his weak form. I have a sudden urge to tell them what is on my mind. It is true that I told Deku about it, but the soft pastel, the soothing sound of All Might's voice calm my anger and my mouth opens without a second thought.

"Here comes a thought," I say, using the same phrasing as All Might. I could feel Deku's stare but I didn't want to look him in the eye, "that might alarm me. What someone said and how it harmed me." Nothing really harmed me, it just feels right to use the same wording, as if I was memorizing some lesson. The soft pastel forms a white bubble and I see Deku crying. Not when he was a little kid. It was the tears he shed after All Might's message, a message I knew he deciphered differently than the rest of us. I sigh.

"Something I did that failed to be charming. Things that I said are suddenly swarming." The bubble changes to the Sludge accident, when I threatened him, when I told him to jump off a roof, when I suddenly felt trap and couldn't breathe, couldn't phantom the idea of dying. I get up, unable to stay still. "And I'm losing sight, I'm losing touch. All these little things seem to matter so much that they confuse me."

I couldn't look at them. I couldn't look at Deku. I did so many wrong things. I wrap my hands around my head and didn't see the hand Deku was offering.

"That I might lose me," I hear his voice, repeating the lines that made us both look at All Might. He is standing, a smile on his face. It looks lovey-dovey. It makes my stomach turn. He approaches me like I am a lost puppy. I'm not, but I couldn't protest when he places his hands on mine and took a deep breath.

"Take a moment to remind yourself to take a moment and find yourself." He looks up to meet my eyes. His dangerously mesmerizing green eyes. "Take a moment and ask yourself if this is how we fall apart? But it's not, just like All Might said. It's okay if you feel overwhelmed. We all do at some point. You've got nothing to fear. I'm here."

That is cheap, using the same line as All Might, but the man seems unbothered and comes close to give us a hug. The butterflies fly closer to us, and suddenly, I couldn't think about the Sludge attack, nor the crying tears in Deku's eyes. I feel my mouth slipping into a small smile and see Deku and All Might smiling back.

"It was just a thought," reminds All Might, holding us tighter. I could feel the air leaving my lungs, wondering how he finds all that force when he clearly isn't in his hero form.

"It's okay," says Deku after that hug. His hands are on my shoulder and his smile clenches my stomach. "We can watch them go by from here."

I nod and look at the butterflies leaving the area. The soft pastel turns into white and turns into the mock city. All Might and Deku are walking away, talking loudly. My mind wanders back to what All Might said.

"Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love and trust."

I chuckle and run to catch them up. I didn't see that two withe butterflies flying away, circling each other into the night sky.

Holy! I thought I might not catch the "love" feeling of this ship. Still sounds kinda platonic. Oh well, I'm sure if you squint, you might catch the "love" feeling. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this mock bakudeku fic. I don't read them a lot, so I don't really know how to tackle them. This animation was made by The Eggo Man. Leave a vote and comment if you like!
