Ananda's POV

I woke up and just laid in my bed for moments, staring up at a fixed spot on the ceiling clutching my hair with the same words replaying over and over again.

My head was pounding from last night's alcohol consumption to the point where as soon as I stood up I threw up in the mini trash can near my nightstand. After my regurgitation session, I sat on the floor dizzy and confused, looking down at my body and noticing that I was wearing an unfamiliar long white t shirt. Maybe it was from the back of my closet. Everything is a blur. What day is it? Why am I wearing this? And how much did  I have to drink last night?

The phone rang which sounded like a thousand bells ringing at once.

"Hello?" My groggy voice answered the phone

"Good morning beautiful." A male voice filled my ears. It sounded familiar but I couldn't put a finger on it.

"Um, who is this?" I replied

"You don't even remember my voice? Wow. I thought we knew each other, Ananda."

It suddenly clicked,"Oh, Babe I'm so sorry." I chuckled. On the other end was Dominick, my co worker at Viacom-CBS. 29 and fine as wine. Six foot two.Curly hair and brown eyed. Real ladies man and real "outta my league". He's like my work husband. Lately we've been really close for some reason. Sometimes I think he has a crush on me, but it's hard to tell. He flirts a lot but he flirts with almost every girl. Mixed signals. Men.

"So, how was last night? Without me?" I feel his playboy energy through the phone. "Um. Fun, you know..bunch of celebrities and awards, meltdowns and.. stuff. That's the VMAs for you." I walked around my bedroom

"You're so lucky you got to present. Office girl by day and face of MTV by night. You get the best of both worlds. Did you see Britney Spears? We got at least 2,000 calls about that."

"Yes I saw it and I didn't see the big deal. Not every celebrity is a picture perfect role model. Ya know? "
Rummaging around in a pair of worn pants on that I found on the floor, I pulled out a wrinkled sheet of paper

"But hey- I'm not complaining. She looked..." the words he spoke slowly faded out as I remembered  last night I got Eminem's number. He owes me a date.
"I- I gotta go take a shower. Talk to you later—" I lied. I needed to call Marshall. What if he doesn't even remember me? Hell,What if he doesn't even remember last night?

"A shower? Without me?"

"Yes, without you." I smiled and rolled her eyes at his flirtatious behavior. "Bye."

"Hey-I hope you didn't forget we're have meeting today at 3:30. Mandatory. Suggestions and promotions, room three-thirty six, remember?" She could hear papers flipping over the phone.

"Ugh." I groaned and threw my head back, "Shit. I totally forgot. What would I do without you, Nick?"

"What would I do without you?" He smartly responded

"Thank you."

"No problem."

"Bye." I hung up and looked at the crumbled piece of paper once more. Should I call him? I asked myself. What's the point? Maybe I should just let it go and be done with it.

Later. I'll do it later. I placed the paper on my night stand and went to go take a shower. I'm probably gonna be late. But first, Tylenol.

>>>>>

"You're late." Nick stood outside the meeting room with two coffees.

"I know. Thank you." I took one out of his hand and preceding to take a sip
