I snuck out of class early just for this opportunity.  As soon as Ezekiel emerged from the stairs I jumped on him from the landing.  "You're still mad?"  He tried to shake me off and I wrapped my arm around his neck to choke him.  "I said I'm sorry."

It didn't help that he was actually enjoying this and containing his laughter.  He tried to reach me behind him as I punched his side, making him grimace.  "Okay, okay!"

He got an arm between us and pulled me to his front, where I beat his chest and shoulders, since his jaw was still slightly red.  He caught my wrists.  "Violet..."  I frowned at him.  "Please stop... I'm sorry."

I crossed my arms and huffed as I walked away from him, he groaned in response.  "Well that didn't take long."  He turned me around using my shoulders.  "How can I make it better?"

I pursed my lips, thinking and beamed.  I pulled him to the edge of the roof and looked down.  "That's suicide."

I shook my head and signed.  "It's not that high.  I think I can take it."

He grabbed me from the edge.  "Fuck no." I looked at him curiously and he combed his fingers through my hair.  The sensation made me tingly, so I tried to step away, but he held me in place.  "I don't want you to get hurt."

I tilted my head, not understanding his emotions.  "I'll be okay."

He put his forehead against mine and my heart started to race.  "Choose something else..."

I struggled to breathe.  "You're making me very uncomfortable."

He blinked and stepped back, a small smile playing on his lips.  "Better?"

I nodded and looked at the sky.  "Then... I don't know."

He thought for a moment and gently took my arm.  I smiled when we went to where he sung before and he sat me at the piano.  "One song..."  I frowned and shook my head, making him sigh.  "That's literally all we have time for..."

I smirked.  "Not after school."

He gaped.  "You're not serious."

I crossed my arms, smug.  "A voice for a voice... and it'll be what I've written."  I rummaged in my bag and pulled out a notebook handing it to him.  "These are for you."

He looked surprised.  "What do you mean for me?"

I smiled.  "Songs written for you to sing."  I blinked as a swirl of emotions hit me.  "You... don't like them?"

He smiled softly as joy made itself clear.  "I love it."

I tilted my head as my chest warmed.  "You're weird, meet me here after school.  I may actually stay in class today."

He chuckled.  "Has anyone been bothering you today?"  I shook my head.  "Good, I don't know if it was you breaking a jaw or my dad saying you are off limits, but it's working for now at least."

I poked his side.  "That means to you too."

He laughed.  "You marked me, not the other way around."

"What?!"

Our heads whipped up.  "She did what?"

He frowned.  "What are you doing here, Brenda?"

She stormed in and tried to grab me, but he caught her wrist, pissed.  "So, she's your partner for the Season?  The little slut isn't even of age."

He released her.  "First. She's not a slut.  Second, it's none of your business."

She glared at me and I met her gaze unafraid.  "You're lying... she doesn't even have one and where is yours?"

He shrugged.  "Believe what you want, just leave us alone."

The bell rung and he placed his hand on my lower back to guide me out.  I felt when she reached and smirked as she finally successfully got handful of my hair and pulled.  I caught her wrist and spun to sweep her feet from under her.  I kicked her head as she fell and she was out cold.

I blinked at how quick that was over and sighed, kneeling beside her.  She was breathing.  "She may have a concussion.  Wanna take her to Raven?  She's going to hate me."

He sighed.  "She grabbed you first but the infirmary will suffice."  He picked her up and started to go.  "You're not coming?"

I frowned.  "Why?  I don't like her."

He chuckled.  "I'll see you after school then."  I smiled and text Xavier.

Z: Good... you made up.

No, he will sing.

Z:  Anything with music and you are all for it.

I mean, he let me beat the shit out of him too.  He wouldn't jump off the roof with ne though.

Z:  Good because I'd have to kill him for letting you.

You're both no fun.

Z:  LOL.  Go to class.

I rolled my eyes and Caleb caught my arm.  "So not pissed any more?"  I shook my head.  "Good..."  We sat.  "You broke his jaw?  Thought it would be his arm."

I shrugged.   "My fist connected and it broke."

He chuckled.  "Fragile, you've got mine plenty of times."

I thought for a moment.  "True... but I just knocked out Brenda in one kick... is your pack really that weak?"

He frowned.  "No, but I haven't trained with them in a while."

"Well I've fought you, Zay, and Ezekial, all of you are still standing and I hit you guys way harder."

He furrowed his brow.  "Train with the pack and find out."

I smirked.  "That sounds fun."

He rolled his eyes.  "Of course you would think so."

I hated having to carry this bitch to the infirmary, making me lose my chance to walk Violet to class.  I smile played at my lips at how surprised she looked that Brenda went down so easy, my pack was looking sorry and I couldn't even muster the will to care.  They were trying to hurt her and got burned by her fire when she snapped back.

I could still feel where she beat the hell out of my chest, but some of her requests were reckless, if not down right crazy.  I was scared one day she really would try to jump from the roof just to see if she could.  I rolled my eyes dangerous, life threatening stunts, fearless.  Getting close to me, terrified.

I pushed open the door and the nurse came by asking what happened.  I made a quick story about tripping and falling, hitting her head pretty fucking hard.  Which is essentially what happened.

I was excited for this afternoon, but I didn't want her in the school where everyone would see her, so I came up with a better plan.  No one was home, so I'm sure she would agree as well... maybe...
