"Thanks for reminding me about the films, Suga, Michi would murder me if I kept them or lost them-" Daichi said.
"Are you sure its cool for me to tag along?" Asahi asked, awrkwardly rubbing the back of his neck.
"Its fine, Asahi- We're here now, anyway. Come on."Suga said. But the gate didn't move. "What? Has it always been this stiff? Come on, budge-" He pushed against the gate some more and it fell open, just as Daichi screamed. "Daichi!" Suga and Asahi whipped thier heads around to see Daichi holding a broken phone, screen cracked in more places than one. Daichi pressed the standby button alot, but the phone wouldn't turn on. He pressed it harder and harder. It wouldn't turn on.
"The hell? Come on-" He said, still pressing it.
"Is it Michi's?" Suga asked. Daichi turned the phone around, the clear case revealing a polariod photograph of Michi and Daichi. "W-What the fuck?" Suga gasped, taking a few steps back as Asahi ran into the garden, and Suga and Daichi followed.
It was the most horrific scream Suga and Asahi had ever heard. Daichi was collapsed in a pile on the floor, bent over, crying, screaming, a ball of rage and emmotion. His bestfriend was- there- and she wasn't moving. There was blood in a pudle close to her face, and a lead push-up pencil close to her leg, snapped. The other boys couldn't seem to move either. They stood, frozen in place, behind Daichi. Somehow, Suga found it in himself to move towards Daichi, putting his arm around his boyfriend. "M-M-M-M-Mich-Michi-" He stammered out, grabing her hand, feeling for her pulse. It was there. "T-Thank go-T-Thank god-"
"Hey! What've you thugs done to the Michimiya's daughter?" A man yelled. "Why'd you go and kill her, and why are you out of school?" Asahi looked at Suga, not knowing what to do. Suga looked back, and matched the mans volume.
"Sir! Uh- Michimiya is a friend of ours from school- We'd never hurt her intentionally!" Suga said, panicing slightly. "Daichi, come on, get up!" He mumbled to him. "We go to Karasono High! We have the day off due to teacher training!Daichi, get up..."
"And who can vouch for you all! Which one of you..."
"Michi!" Kiyo walked into the garden.
"How did you know...where we were Kiyo?" Suga asked.
"Nevermind that-Asahi I thought you were joking!"
"Why would I joke about something like this?" Asahi yelled back. "We have to get her to the hospital, now! Like, right now!"
"Not until someone can vouch for your innocence!" The man yelled.
"I can, now stop yelling and call a damn ambulance!" Kiyo said, running all the way down to meet Michimiya and comfort Daichi. "Michi I'm so sorry-" Kiyo took one of her other hands, the hand that wasn't being held by Daichi. "Why- Why- First Yachi now this- Why would someone want to hurt her?"
"W-We know why-" Suga mumbled, but only Asahi heard him. The other two ran to Michi's side, and her eyes fluttered open.
"Michi- Oh god- Your awake-" Daichi said, holding her hand closer to his face.
"D-Daichi? E-Everyone- Y-Yachi you- I can't breathe-" She said weakly.
"Y-Yeah you've looked better..." Daichi said.
"H-Ha..."
"Michi what happened?" Asahi asked.
"H-Hey Asahi...Good to see you again." She reached out and Daichi lifted her gently so she could see everyone. "Oh wow, everyone's here." Kiyo heard the sirens, and ran out to signal to them where the group was. "Where's Kiyo gone?"
"She's gone to get help-" Daichi explained. "I'm so sorry Michi-"
"Hey- it's Yui- You know that." The paramedics ran around a corner with Kiyo, with a strecher. The paramedics lifted her up onto the strechers, and looked at Daichi. He noticed he still had blood her blood on his hand.
"Young Man, do you want to come in the ambulance?" One of the team members asked. Daichi looked back at his team. "Young Man, decide now. Time is of the essense." Suga nodded.
"You're the closest thing to family she has here, we'll meet you at the hospital."
"Which hospital?"
"The local one-" The parmedic said. Daichi inhaled, exhaled and nodded.
"Ok-" He said. "L-Lets go-"
The pair hopped onto the amblance, and Yui was in the middle of it, people working around her. That was Daichi's best friend, and he didn't know if she'd live for much longer. His bestfriend was so kind. The sirens blared and suddenly they were moving down the street. Yui turned over and held out her hand to Daichi. He took it, and didn't move it off of her wrist, so he could feel her pulse. One of the older doctors sat down next to him, the man he had ran with. "Young Man..."
"Daichi Sawamura-"
"You need to let go of her hand. We need to take her pulse."
"I can tell you her pulse! It's there. Thats all you neeed to know! I don't want to let her go-"
"Son- Its complicated- Technical, but we need you to let go." He placed her hand. "We're going to keep her alive, but Son, you need to let go." He took Daichi's hand off her, and placed Yui's hand back on the table. "Thank you. I'm Dr.Tetsudo." Daichi didn't respond, but put his head in his hands. "You a man of few words? I hope you don't mind me asking you a few things. What is her name?"
"Y-Yui Michimiya."
"Her relationship to you?"
"What?"
"What is Michimiya to you? You seem awfully close."
"Oh, no! She's great, she's a wonderful girl, but she's my best friend."
"The other boy mentioned something about family?"
"She's like my sister."
"I see. How old are the both of you?"
"I-I'm 18, so's she."
"I see. Thank you, Son. You are very brave." The doctor got up, and went to check with some of his team members how she was doing. The sirens were Daichi's worst nightmare- blaring away- and seeing one of his friends helpless on the table, surronded by doctors, not knowing what was coming next.
