Yui Michimiya liked the smell of lemons. It reminded her of disinfectant, which oddly reminded her of volleyball courts. And in this case, hospitals. Staring up at a white ceiling, not sure how she got there, but knowing there was something on her face, like a mask of some sort, she reached up and attempted to pull it off, but someone put it back on immadately. Where am I? She thought. The last thing I rember is going into my gate...Why do my head and nose hurt so much, where is everyone? She forced her self up, but again was pushed down as gently as possible. She contiuned moving and came to a halt in a smaller room. Oh, am I at the hospital? She thought. It made sense. The people in the blue uniforms, the mask, her headache and the vauge bleeping all around her. But how did she even get there? Before she knew it, she was hooked up to more machines, and the world was fading into black again.
"Daichi!" Someone yelled, running down the hall and towards him. Small, blonde hair tied in a side pony with brown eyes and freckles, and annother girl with black hair and blue eyes behind her. "Daichi I'm so sorry!" The smaller one said, throwing herself at the boy. Yachi Hitoka. She hugged him, and he hugged her back.
"Me to, Yachi, me to." The pair let go, and Yachi went to stand with Kiyoko. "Where are the others?" He asked.
"Oh- Uh- They are giving statements." Kiyo said, sitting down next to Daichi. "You three were the last to see Michi, so they have to give statements."
"But we know who did it! Obvoiusly it was-" Yachi yelled, standing right up.
"Sweetie." Kiyo took her hand. "We know. Key word, we. The people with the actual power need evedence, of course our best shot would be Michi's memory, if she remembers. I'm not going to lie, hospitals are scary. But Yachi, we have to hope for the best. Of her physical ingury's, all I could see was alot of blood, nose, and head ingury's. But- there was a pencil close to her leg, so- I don't know." She finished, and Yachi sat down again. "I'm scared, I am...I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. I'm trying to be more open, but- I never knew it was so hard to show so many emmotions...But, its going to be fine. She'll be fine. We'll make sure of it. Besides, we're back in school tomorrow, we can all head stright to the gym in the morning. I'm sure Coach Ukai or Mr.Takeda will understand. Who usually gets to school first?"
"I think its you, Kiyo." Daichi said. "It's- Yeah, you..."
"Excuse me, is Yachi Hitoka in here?" A doctor said, coming out. "Yachi Hitoka?"
"Thats...me...is something wrong?" Yachi said, standing up.
"Yui Michimiya would like to see you." The doctor said, walking forwards.
"Michi wants to see me?" She gasped.
"Yes."
"B-But Daichi-" Yachi turned back, looked at her friend, who nodded. "O-Ok-" Yachi stammered, walking over to the doctor, and turning back at the last second to look at Kiyoko and Daichi.
When Yachi entered the room, the first thing she saw was the machines around Michi, before she even saw Michi herself. Michi's hair seemed to have lost its usual fluff, and hug around her face. It was still thick, just not as fluffy, and was pinned back so her face was easily exposed. Her nose was bandaged up, and she was swung around on her bed, wearing a hospital gown, letting her legs dangle. She looked up when she saw Yachi. "Yachi, hey." She said, but her usual spark was lost. "How're you doing?"
"How am I doing?" Yachi asked. "Michi, your in the hospital! You could have died! You could have been really ingured and your asking how I'm doing!" Yachi began yelling, and Michi sat there, listening. "You said you'd be careful! You said...You said you wouldn't get hurt! You...You...Why did you...of all people...offer to help? You could have died!"
