Daichi had just gotten up to leave class for the day, when he was pushed past by a girl with short, fluffy brown hair , who looked like she'd been crying. He looked around the room, and noticed a group of girls giggling in the corner, pointing after the girl who had just ran out of the classroom. The rain pounded against the window, and made it so it was hard to hear much else, but he knew that the girl had been crying, and that the girls in the corner were laughing. He grabbed his bag and ran after the girl. Sliding open the door, he looked around the gleaming white corridor and saw the girl. "H-Hey!" He yelled, making her turn around. She looked really, really upset. Brown eyes gleaming, pale face streaked with red.

"Yes?" She asked.

"I-Uh-I'm sorry about those girls." He said, walking forwards. "They don't know what they're on about. Short hair is way better than long hair."

"Agreed," She smiled and ruffled her hair "But its not worth the teasing that comes with it. Who are you?"

"Daichi-"

"Just Daichi?" She teased. "Well, Just Daichi, I'm Yui Michimiya."

"Can I call you Michi?"

"If you want."

Daichi was waiting by the door, and  waiting for Michi. It was now the middle of the pairs second year and their school, and Michi hair had grown all the way out to her elbows by this point, and Daichi enjoyed how fluffy it was. As tough as he looked, he was a giant big brother to her, even tough they were the same age. "Daichi, sorry!" Michi crept up behind him. "Those girls were being idiots again- as usual. But you know- It'll be over soon!"

"What does that mean?" Daichi said, turning it around. "Michi, what does that mean?"

"Oh- You know- we'll be out soon. I don't have to speak to anyone from here again- aside from you- I want to stay with you. Your basically my brother."

"And your basically my sister."  Daichi replied. "So don't go anywhere."

"Wasn't planning on it. Come on, quicker we get home quicker we can get out of these uniforms and watch a movie." She hugged him, and ran out, and then the heavens opened. Michi didn't move, she just stood there, getting soaked through, and laughing. She noticed Daichi wasn't moving. "What? Is the big, scary Daichi who everyone likes scared of a little rain?" She teased.

"Michi, come on, I don't want you to get sick." He said, extending his hand out for her to grab and come back inside. She smirked, grabbed his hand and pulled him out. "Michi!" He said, standing in the rain with her. She still had a hold of his hand.

"Daichi!" She mocked. "Live a little!" Daichi smiled down at her, laughed and looked up to the sky.

"What if someone see's? Aren't you scared?"

"Daichi, why would I be scared? You are like a big brother to me! There no...romance there- Its just having fun! If that becomes a crime, then we're breaking the law, aren't we?" She let go of his hand and went to jump in a puddle, and Daichi watched her.

"Since when did you get so smart?"

"I've always been- woah!" She yelled, as she had slipped when she landed, and fell in the puddle. "Ow-"

"Michi!" Daichi said, running towards her. "Are you hurt?" He bent down on the wet ground by her, but didn't extend his hand, because lets face it, she'd probably pull him down with her. She shook her head, but didn't get up.

"I can walk it off- don't worry." She pushed herself up from the ground. "I've always been smart, you've just been too much of a dork to see it."

"Are you trying to insult me?"

"Maybe-"

It was the last of school for the pair, and Michi was sat on top of Daichi's desk. The girls where giggling in the corner again, and Michi ignored them. They did grab Daichi's attention though. "Daichi, what's up? You look- mad...or something." She said, but she didn't move from his desk.

"Oh, you know- Things and people...but we'll be out of here soon, won't we?"

"Hell yeah, Karasono Crows here we come!" She yelled, hopping of the desk, and punching the air. "Ow-" Her long hair had got tangled in her fist again, and she had accidentally pulled it out. Again. Daichi laughed and reached up to help her  untangle her hair, as he usually did.

"Michi, you really need to cut your hair again- It still gets super tangled. Short hair is way better than long hair. And also...how'd you know about the crows?"

"Ok, one, when its all you go on about, I learnt it, and two,you said that the first time we met, remember? I still agree with what I said, and I still agree its not worth the teasing."

"But what if- say nobody teased you? Short hair is cool, and you really suit it."

"You think I suit short hair?"

"I mean-"

"I think that's the nicest thing you've ever said to me."

The pair were in their summer break of  the first year high school now, and they were sat on a bench at the park. "So," Michi piped up. "What's the del with you and Suga, is that his name, the one with the grey hair?"

"H-Huh?"  Daichi exclaimed, sitting right up. "What do you mean, 'the deal'? There's no deal!"  He put his head  in his hands, to hide him blushing. "Whats the deal with you and Asahi?"

"Nice try, smooth brain, unlike you, there's no deal."

"Then why did I ask me for your number." Daichi teased, looking up and tikling her under her chin.

"H-He did? " She gasped. "I mean! Cool, I guess."  Michi hid her face, like Daichi had.

"Smooth brain." He teased her like she had to him. "And don't go getting any idea's. Nothing's happening with me and Suga."

"Oh, sure-"  She smirked.

"Don't think I didn't notice you cut your hair." He flicked her short hair and  tickled her chin again, she swatted his hand away.

"Not like it was to do with him, anyway. I did miss short hair."

Daichi snuck up behind Michi, and tapped her on the shoulder. She was surprised, so she turned around and punched him. It was their first day of their second year of school. "Daichi! Why would you do that?"

"I thought you were harmless!"

"I told you I trained in self defence over the summer!"

"You still look harmless!"

"Daichi, that is the whole point! I thought you were meant to be smart."

"I am smart- That hurt-" He said, still holding onto his stomach. Michi cringed and helped her friend up. "Thanks."

"Not a problem."
