People made me believe that I didn't belong. That I was not a part of them.
They always told me that I wasn't supposed to be born. Mom told me that she was supposed to give birth to one child, but everyone was surprised she had twins instead.
According to some people, I was unusual.
I had different eye colors that had never been experienced in our family lineage. I had blonde hair unlike my family of brunettes. I was left-handed. And other stuffs that seemed perfectly normal to me.
All these things weren't unusual. I was sure that I inherited some of these distinctive traits from someone in our family.
If not, why and how could I be so different from the rest of my family?
Growing up I was hardly shown love by my parents. Well, I could say my dad cared about me at some point, but my mom never did. Now they both treated me like... a stranger. Sure I was given food and clothes, and I attended school along with my sister, but that was about it. There was no TLC - tender love and care.
However, since I turned seventeen, everything changed. My sister who was my best friend stopped talking to me. And if she did talk to me, it was only because she had to. Like when she would tell me to hurry up so we could go to school, or telling me that I shouldn't disturb her when she had visitors.
My dad stopped talking to me totally. The only thing he did was glance at me at most three times a day. He couldn't even look at me for more than ten seconds. Sometimes I thought I saw some kind of emotion in his eyes, but I wasn't certain.
My mom however has always been my enemy. She hated me so much I wondered if it was normal. She always said I was a burden. That I was only a mere responsibility till I disappeared from her life forever. She hardly considered my existence. She just did not bother with anything that was related to me.
All these treatment because I was different.
