At times I wonder, what did I ever do wrong in my life? Why did everyone hate me so much? Why did it seem so hard to be accepted in my society?

My family hated me; my dad hated my face, my mom hated my guts, and my twin sister, well, she hated the fact that she had to have a sister like me.

Sometimes I felt it was because I had two different eye colours. My left eye was green and my right eye was purple. My twin sister had normal eyes, just like my parents and basically everyone around me. Both my sister's eyes were brown, just like both my parents.

I don't know where I got these odd colours from. Purple and green. The weirdest combination.

I hate my eyes so much. In fact, I hate everything about myself.

Sadly, no matter how much I hated myself, it  could never amount to the way everyone else hated me.

In school, I was basically an outcast. People bullied me nonstop mostly because of my eye colour and how different I was from my twin sister. People avoided me like I was a diseased animal. A few of them were humane and kind enough to treat me nicely.

At first I didn't see anything wrong about my eyes. I mean, they were just colours after all. But every time I heard them snickering and whispering.

"She's such a freak!"

"I heard she's an alien."

"You poor thing."

"I'd hate to be related to that."

"I swear, if that creature comes near me..."

It got worse every single day. Even my own sister disowned me in front of everyone at school.

It got to the point where they didn't only want me near them, they wanted me gone. Literally.

Even my own sister. My own parents. My family.

I asked myself all the time...what did I do to deserve this kind of treatment? Why did I have to be so different from the others?

Just, why me?
