caroline shut her apartment door and walked into the bathroom. she turned on her speaker and the music started playing. she got undressed and got into the shower. she let the warm water run down her body as her mind was filled with thoughts. dominic seemed like an amazing guy. he was nice. he lived in the same apartment complex as her. he was attractive. but something felt wrong about him. maybe it was that she wasn't over jj.
caroline got out of the shower and wrapped a towel around herself and went to her clothes. she grabbed a random shirt and a pair of shorts. she put the clothes on and looked in the mirror. she was wearing jj's shirt. she missed him so much. jj has always been there for caroline, no matter what. and now that's he's not with her, she feels like a part of her is missing. a tear slipped down her face and quickly wiped it away. she got into her bed and turned the lights off. she was soon fast asleep.
~~~ caroline woke up to her phone ringing. she rubbed her eyes and picked it up. it was kie. "kiara!" she said sitting up. "caroline! how is it there?!" "uhm, it's cool i guess. it's gonna take some getting used to. i miss everyone so much." she said. "we all miss you too. have you texted jj lately? we haven't heard from him since you left yesterday."
caroline was going to say that he left her on read but she didn't. "uhm, no. no yet. i've been pretty busy. i'll maybe have a chance to talk to him later." she lied. "oh ok! have you made any friends yet?" "yea actually. there's this one guy, dominic. he lives in my apartment building. he seems nice." "oh cool! is he cute?" "you could say he's attractive. but i would never do anything because of jj." "oh yeah of course. we all trust you wouldn't." "but uhm, ya, i gotta go." "oh...ok-" "hey uhm if you see jj, tell him to text me ok?" caroline cut her off. "oh yeah. of course!" kie said. "alright, i'll talk later. love you!" caroline said. "bye love you!"
caroline hung up the phone and sat back on her bed. almost immediately her phone started ringing again. dominic.
"hello?" she said. "hi caroline! listen so, i was wondering if maybe you would want to hang out? i could take you to the pier. we could maybe get lunch. take pictures because i know you model. get ice cream. you know, movie type of stuff."
a smile spread across the girls face. "sounds fantastic!" "great! i'll stop by your place in about an hour." "perfect." she hung up the phone and checked the time. it was 11:20.
the girl got into the shower and got dressed.

about an hour later she heard a knock on her door. she grabbed her phone and wallet and walked over to it. caroline opened the door to be greeted by dominic. "hey!" he said smiling. she said hello back and shut her door. they walked down to the elevator and got in. "you look great." he said. "as do you" "why thank you." he said giving a little bow.
