Once I heard the front door close, I stayed in bed for a little while. I didn't want him to forget something and walk back in as I was getting ready. At 8:00 I got up and changed my shirt. I had to keep the yoga pants on, it was the only thing I could wear. I grabbed my suitcase from the closet and just threw all the clothes that I could into it, along with a few pairs of practical shoes. I zipped it up, then grabbed my duffel bag. I put my medicine and purse in the bag then zipped it.

I heard a truck pull up, and saw that it was Seth. I opened the front door for him as he quickly walked up the grass.

"Everything is ready, I just can't lift the suitcase." I said as I led him to the bedroom. I grabbed the duffel bag and put it over my shoulder. I lifted my laptop and smashed it over the wood of the door frame.

"Jesus!" Seth said ducking down to avoid flying computer keys. I dropped the computer and grabbed my phone off the bed and threw it as hard as I could against the wall, smashing it.

"Lets go. Quickly." I said as we walked out the front door to the truck. Seth put my suitcase in the back of the small moving truck, and I kept the duffle bag with me up front. He climbed up into the driver's seat and we drove away.

"I need to stop at the bank before we leave town." I told him.

"Ok, can't we go to a branch that is a little ways away?" he asked.

"No, I need to empty my safety deposit box."

"Oh, ok." He said hesitantly.

I slid out of my seat and quickly walked into the bank. I found an available banker, and asked to open my safety deposit box. She led me into the secure area and then let me have my privacy. I quickly opened it and put all the cash and documents into the duffel bag. I threw the bag back over my shoulder and made my way back to Seth.

It took four very long days to get to Miami. On the way, we would park in well lit, populated areas at night, and slept in the truck. We didn't want to have any record of hotel payments, so Gray couldn't track it. And we wanted to save the cash for when we got into Miami. We had no idea how long it would take to find a place to live.

We pulled into Miami very late at night. We had to go to a couple hotels before we found one with an available room. We booked a week at the Hyatt that was on the beach. I paid in cash and asked them to keep a hard copy of Seth's license instead of keeping it logged into the computer.

For the first night in well over a week, I slept all night.

...

The next morning, I woke up to the smell of coffee. I opened my eyes, to the other side of the bed, empty. I rolled over, squinting from the light that was coming in through the thin white shades. Seth was sitting at the table while he played with a new cell phone. There was a second phone that was still unopened in the box. He looked over at me as he heard me shuffle.

"Good morning." he said with a warm smile. "Are you hungry? I have coffee and a plate of eggs and bacon for you." He said as he got up and walked over to me. I pushed myself up and swung my legs over the side of the bed. Seth sat down next to me.

"Yeah, I'm actually really hungry, and that coffee smells amazing." I said as I rested my head on his shoulder. Seth put his head on mine and we just sat there for a minute enjoying the quiet.

"I went and picked up new phones for us. Yours is on the table. Don't worry, I got you red." He said with a chuckle.

"Where did you get phones?" I asked.

"Umm... The apple store..." He said like I was crazy.

"When do they open? Wait... you left, got new phones, and came back, and I slept through it all?" Seth nodded as he gently rubbed my back. "What time is it?"
