Nick pulled up to the Ritz-Carlton. He parked, and came around to my side of the car, opening my door. He took my hand as he led us into the lobby, and up to the front desk.

"Do you have any rooms available for tonight?" Nick asked the guy behind the counter.

"I do, but it's limited. Let me see what is available." He said as he searched for a second. "I have a room with a King bed, with an obstructed view for $175. Or I have a room with two queens, with a garden view, for $217..." He said as he scrolled.

"Nick, that's too much." I whispered to him. I don't know why he picked this hotel, when there were cheaper ones that were still nice close by.

"Anything with an ocean view?" Nick asked him, not responding to me.

"I have one last ocean view mini suit with a King bed, on an upper floor, for $413." He said looking at Nick.

"Perfect. Let's book for two nights. Can we leave the reservation open though, in case we decide to stay longer?" Nick asked him.

"Absolutely, but it does add a $50 fee."

"That's fine, I don't care." Nick said, passing his card over the counter.

"So two nights with an open reservation comes to $876." He said swiping the card.

"Nick.." I said gripping his arm.

He turned to me, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me into him. He gave me a sweet kiss and said, "Shhhh." softly against my lips.

Nick took his card back, and got the room keys, and we got in the elevator going to the twelfth floor. Nick found our room and opened the door, letting me in first. The room was beautiful. There was a small kitchen with a little table as we first walked in. Further into the room was a living room with a couch and chair facing a TV, next to sliding doors that open to the balcony overlooking the beach. Through a set of french doors, was the bedroom, with a large king size bed.

I walked through the room, to the sliding doors, and stepped out onto the balcony

I walked through the room, to the sliding doors, and stepped out onto the balcony. I leaned against the railing as I closed my eyes and felt the breeze. The water smelled amazing as I heard the waves crashing. I was there for a minute before the smell of cedar wood was added to my senses. I opened my eyes and saw Nick next to me leaning on the railing.

"You didn't have to get such an expensive room..." I said leaning over to him and putting my head on his shoulder.

"I promised you that when this was over, I was going to take you to the beach." He said resting his head on mine.

"You did..." I said looking at him.

"I know you are tired, but let's order dinner, and run to the store to get a few essentials." Nick said rubbing my back.

"Yeah, I need stuff, and I need to get Seth some stuff too." I said.

"What do you want for dinner?" He asked.
