Sansa wakes up in the middle of the night with a stickiness and wetness between her legs .She is very embarrassed , as she thinks she has urinated . She remembers Jon coming in with a tray but was so exhausted she does not remember anything else.
She tries to get up without waking Jon , but its too late , he has woken.
Jon : Sansa , everything ok ?
Sansa: I am so sorry I have made a mess in the bed !
Jon : Its ok we will change the sheets .
Jon and Sansa both look down now and realize the sheets are red .
Sansa : Jon ! I think I'm bleeding !
She looks down and her nightgown is red and just then she has an excruciating pain in her abdomen.
Jon runs out to get Sam .
Sam reaches the room and and ushers Jon out .
Jon paces the room outside he feels like he is going crazy .
The minutes seem like hours and there is no sign of Sam .
Sam returns and gently informs Jon that Sansa has lost the baby.
Jon waits outside the door for the maids to bathe Sansa and clean the sheets .
When he enters he sees Sansa on the bed she looks pale and weak and his heart breaks for his wife and truthfully for himself too , he had accepted the babe as his
Jon asks Sansa is he is ok , she sadly shakes her head . Jon : My love everything will be ok , I will always be here for you , he puts his arms around Sansa and he lets her cry and cry for hours and they eventually fall asleep in each other's arms . When she wakes up in the middle of the night she sees he is crying too , she gently wipes his tears with her thumb and falls back asleep.
