Its been 2 months since the miscarriage . Sansa has withdrawn into herself but is still trying her best to accept her fate . She realizes that she has to speak to Jon , he has been devoted to her since the very beginning of her nightmare of a return to Winterfell . She could not have gotten through the nightmare of losing the babe without him . He has been her rock. But it is best to move forward . She has fallen deeply in love with him , but she will not be anybody's duty or burden . She may not have much left but she still has her pride . Jon is handsome , he is wealthy , he is a Stark , why should he be stuck in a marriage to a woman he doesn't love ? He had married her for the sake of the babe , but there is no babe anymore , so why continue ?Even though it is killing her inside she will let him go , she will encase her heart and give him his freedom . She couldn't live with herself thinking that Jon was trapped with a woman he did not love or want to be with . She would speak to Robb first then Jon . She did not want anyone to pressurize Jon into staying in this marriage for the sake of duty or honor .
Sansa knocks on Robbs chamber door . Roslin answers .
Roslin : Sansa , come in . I'm glad you ventured to our side of the castle .
Sansa : Is Robb here ?
Roslin : He just stepped out he will be back shortly . Are you alright ? You look pale . Sit , I will fetch us some tea and scones .
Sansa sits while Roslin readies the tea .
Roslin : What is it Sansa , you look troubled?
Sansa : I want to set Jon free .
Roslin : What ?
Sansa : I want to set him free , he only married me for the babe . There is no babe so there is no reason for us to stay married .
Roslin : Have you spoken to Jon ?
Sansa : No , not yet . I just wanted to speak to Robb so he doesn't pressurize into staying in the marriage . Its not fair to Jon to be in a loveless marriage .
Roslin : Who says it's a loveless marriage ?
Sansa (looking shocked ).
Roslin : I repeat who says it's a loveless marriage ?
Sansa : He doesn't love me . We have not consummated the marriage . It would be a clean break for him.
Roslin : You may not have consummated the marriage yet because of the circumstances , but I have seen how you two look at each other . Do you deny that you love him Sansa ?
Sansa remains silent , but there is clear anguish on her face .
Roslin : Sansa think of me as your friend , not your sister in law or the Queen . I want you to tell me you don't love him .
Sansa still remains silent .
Roslin : I think I have never met such a silly woman . Here you have a man devoted to you , willing to give his name to a babe that was not his , who has stood by you through thick and thin and you want to let him go ?
Sansa : I am trying to do what is best for him Roslin . You don't understand .
Roslin : I do understand Sansa, more than you think . You silly , silly girl . He loves you . Anyone with eyes can see . His face lights up when he speaks of you , his eyes track you when you walk . I know you have been through unimagineable heartache Sansa and this has hurt your ability to see things clearly right now . Don't do this it will hurt him not help him .
Tears start streaming down Sansa's face .
Sansa : I have nothing to offer him Roslin. He can find someone worthy of him , someone who doesn't have all these demons to constantly push back on .
Roslin : My dear girl you have so much to offer him , you are the most brave woman I have ever known . You have been through so much and you have not made yourself a victim , you are a survivor , a warrior . Jon knows that , he respects and admires that as we all do .( Roslin gently take her hand and leads her to a mirror ) . Look in the mirror Sansa , you are a beautiful , strong , intelligent woman . Jon is lucky to have you as you are lucky to have him . You love him Sansa , and he loves you , don't throw it all away .
Sansa just hugs Roslin and cries and cries.
Sansa : I need to know how he feels , if he wants an out I will give it to him .
I don't think I can speak to Robb now , I will find him later .
Sansa leaves hurriedly .
