Eli's hand slid to hold mine. "Hey, you ok?" He asked. I finally came back to reality. "Huh? Yes, I am." I faked a smile. Honestly, Baekhyun's presence made me a little bit stiff. And the fact that he and his friends were laughing the whole time made me feel more insecured. Not to mention, they kept on staring at us, too. I bet they were talking and laughing about how Baekhyun got me. Psh! Typical playboys. It's a good thing that they left. I honestly wanted to leave the place when I saw them sit across us. It's just that I'm so hungry and I didn't want to burst Bea's happiness with her food. I guess I'm lucky enough to endure it the whole time. "You sure?" He asked. "Yes Eli, I'm ok. Don't worry." I said. "Then that's good. How about you Bea, are you ok?" He turned to Bea. I looked at my daughter who is sipping some lemonade with a straw. "Huh?" I asked. The two of them just looked at each other and it kinda bothered me. "Wait a second. Is there something I'm missing out on?" I asked but they didn't mind me. I think they are havibg an eye staring contest. "I'm ok.." Bea mumbled with the straw still in her mouth. "Really?" Eli raised an eyebrow. Bea just nodded. "Is there something I need to know?" I snapped my fingers between them. "Huh? What? No. What do you mean you need to know?" Eli asked. "Well, you asked her if she was ok too..." I explained. "Oh you mean that." Eli looked at Bea again. "Well, I asked her if she's ok because she's been eating since we got here. Look at her, she's not done yet." He explained. True, Bea is still eating. She still has one small plate of jello to eat. "Oh. Right. Baby, are you really that hungry?" I asked her as I held her tummy. It was somehow bloated. "Actually mommy, I suddenly don't want to eat that anymore." Bea said. "Huh? Why?" I asked. She only stared at Eli who was looking outside while smiling. "I just don't want to eat it anymore.." She frowned. Eli suddenly laughed. "Then I guess we have to leave now." He raised his hand to signal the waiter to come over. He payed the bill and we left.
"So, where are we going next?" Eli asked. "Hmm, maybe we should go to Lotte world." I suggested. "Right, so we can see if we can celebrate Bea's birthday there." Eli agreed. It's funny how me and Eli seemed to be more excited that Bea. My daughter seems to be down and sad. I sat to match her height. "Baby, are you ok? What's wrong?" She didn't respond. "Oh I know what's wrong." Eli talked. He bent down and carried Bea. I stood up as well. "She's full and she's sleepy. Right baby?" They looked at each other and Bea nodded. She rubbed her eyes then hugged Eli. "Looks like someone got too attatched when I was gone." I murmered. "You have no idea. She missed you though." Eli said as we continued walking. "I think we should just go home now. She's already sleeping. It would be pointless if we stroll around since she's asleep." I said. "True. Then off we go home." I opened the back seat door and Eli laid little Bea. We then sat beside each other, Eli on the driver's seat and me on the front seat. "So, how was your day?" I started a conversation. "Hmm? Me? Quite bad." He confessed. "Really? Why? Did Bea give you troubles a while ago?" I asked. "No, not really. It's just that we saw him today.. in meal time.." He kept his eyes on the road while he talked to me. "Are you really sure that you're ok?" He asked. "Hmm. Honestly, no. I'm just as bothered as you are. I didn't really want to see him today. I wasn't expecting to see him today. It's funny how we keep on seeing each other in that place." I smirked. "The restaurant? Is it a special place for you? For the both of you?" He asked sarcastically annoyed. "I don't really know how to put it but that place is where we first met. It the place where I first saw him." Eli just kept his sarcasm. He laughed his annoyance. "Funny. What a coincidence. 'Coz that's the place where I first saw you." He said bitterly. "Eli..." "I thought it was special but now that you told me, I feel like condemning it." He really is honest with me. "Eli, I'm sorry. Maybe we should just talk about something else?" I tried to break the ice but I guess it didn't work. "How about we just stay quiet?" He asked respectfully. I kinda felt down. I know he has feelings for me and I'm just being insensitive about it. I feel guilty. I know I already told him about how I'm no longer interested in relationships. But the way he cares for me and my daughter, it seems like he's still hoping. Maybe, I should give him a chance? Should I give 'us' a chance?
