The time had come around pretty quickly to get ready to go to club. After we left Jareth at the store Amanda didn't comment about her statement and I let it go as well, not trying to recreate any unnecessary tension. I saw Damian minimally for the entire day and he hardly even said a peep to anyone.
He was still acting unlike himself and weird. This was unsettling for me but I tried to put it to the back of my mind as possible, as I vowed to dedicate my waking moments to uncovering those deep secrets of his and making the connections I needed to, in order to take down this degrading business.
What made me even more suspicious about Damian's behavior is the fact that he didn't even drive us to the club, which he would normally do. I could tell that everyone else was as astonished as well, more so Amanda. When he had slipped the keys in her hand to the car, her face mirrored that of a confused little kid getting approval for going to Time Square all alone, on New Years Eve.
The kid is not sure why in the hell her parents would approve of such a ludacris decision, she also knows deep down she is not quite ready to take on this challenge but she decides and yearns to go either way. She took the keys from him excitedly and I thought for a minute standing on the sidelines that he would grab them back from her and stick out his tongue and sing, ' I fooled you, I fooled you!' but alas that didn't happen.
We went on our disdained and petrified ways to the club. When we arrived at the location we went into the dressing room. I noticed that the set was still there but the cameras and the equipment were not in sight. We changed into our party clothes and since we arrived at the club
I was also looking anxiously towards the entrance of the bar, where people were pouring in from now, for a mop of red, fiery curls. I felt butterflies fluttering in my belly at just the thought of seeing him tonight after I injured him in the store earlier today.
I felt a potent level of pressure on my bladder and I decided to go to the bathroom and I slid off the stool and made my way around the corner of the bar to where the bathrooms were located.
