After she was finished exercising or more accurately watching Narumba exercise, she go down the steps to the kitchen for a drink of water. When she exit the kitchen and was just about to to ascend the stairs to go back to the room to get some more sleep, before tonight. She was  stopped in my tracks by the sound of the door bell ring. She stand on the steps for a second and  realized there was no one making an attempt to answer it as it chimed a second time.

She's never seen anyone come over since she's been here and that was for good reason as it was too much like abduction or kidnap and too hard to explain away. Four  girls of different nationalities miles away from their homes under the same roof of a hot-tempered, selfless man and a not so capable young woman, who obviously has it way over her platinum head.

She approachedd the door and make out a blur of a hunched silhouette of a man through the lattice glass in the middle of the oak door. She think about the movies she's  watched where the gullible girl opens the door and either gets strangled or shot. She then hesitantly placed my hand on the cold, metal knob and cracked the door just enough to see who it was and to push the door closed if she found out later, that she had made a colossal mistake, of any sort.

"How can I help you?"

She asked looking at the man's haggard face. He looked like he's seen about 70 moons already. He was slightly shaking like he had a small tremor erupting in his bones and  he had hideous, blocky liver spots that covered his face and hands like a leper. He hunched over severely on his walking stick looking feeble and weak. He resembled one of those creepy men in Lifetime movies that kidnapped girls and took them to their underground shack.

"Good day young lady, I'm here to see Damian. Is he here?"

"Yes he is. I'll go and get him."

"Can I at least come inside. It's about 200 out here." He says giving her a toothless smile.

"I don't think that's a good idea, as I've said I will get him for you." She said using my hand to shield some of the rays of sun out of her eyes, it was really hot out there.

"I'm not as young as I used to be darling and the sun is pelting through my cobweb of a hair.Have mercy for a old man would you."

The old man said rubbing his hand on his thin, white, wisp of hair, emphasising his point.

"I'm sorry but I'm still not letting you in."

"Well, it's like I'm going to murder you, I just need to get in from this scrotching sun."

"I don't care I still.."

"Who the hell are you talking to at the door!?"

Damian's voice boomed from behind me causing her to jump, startled out of my mind. He comes up behind her and yanks the door open wider revealing the stranger.

"Hi, Carl I see your early for our meeting come on in. Was this one giving you any trouble?" Damian said pointing his head in her direction.

" Not really, she just was not having me come in the house without you being present. It's good though, in times like these you can't be sure who your letting into your house." Carl said giving her a lopsided twist of his shriveled lips.
