SJ awoke to yelling from Kingy as she was late for the run, she rolled her eyes- let's just say SJ was not a morning person. She didn't know what it was but today everyone was just getting on her nerves. Fingers flicked her "piss off" she growled and fingers laughed mockingly "aight ice queen" he laughed "PISS OFF FINGERS!" She shouted and walked away towards scoff. She sat there eating strawberries when a group of young Afgan soldiers came up to her, one took her hand and they went behind the scoff build. There they were all chatting and laughing. The young men all lit cigarettes and puffed them nonchalantly. One young man offered SJ one- she took it.
Georgie came up to fingers "where's SJ I can't find her anywhere." Fingers just looked at her "not sure George she walked off towards scoff I ain't see her since- I wouldn't go looking for her tho" fingers replied "why?" Georgie questioned "she's being a right Mardy cow today" fingers responded Georgie sighed exasperatedly "Great, just great she muttered"
SJ was almost getting the hang of puffing when she heard someone shouting "SJ? SJ where are you" she giggled slightly "Shite that's my mam- okay I need to hide!" But it was too late Georgie came round the side of the building and saw her smoking "SAPPHIRE-JADE LUCA HARTE WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU DOING" Georgie shrieked. SJ coughed "nothing, nothing I wasn't doing anything" she replied "Sapphire-Jade don't lie I saw you!" Georgie retorted SJ swallowed hard she was fucked. "Well are you gonna tell Captain James or am I" SJ looked at her sheepishly Georgie grabbed her daughters shoulder and dragged her to the Boss's office.
"Come in" Charlie called Georgie pushed SJ into the middle of the room "well..." Captain James spoke "Tell him then!" Georgie shouted SJ just kept looking at the floor. "I've just found little Miss Smoking!" Georgie retorted. Captain James gave SJ a hard Stare "what has gotten into you SJ! Kingy said you were giving him attitude this morning aswell! You never behave like this! Why now!" Captain James seethed SJ shrugged "that's not an Answer Sapphire Jade!" Still SJ stood there in silence "Fine Your confined to the Barracks" SJ grunted "what was that SJ?" Georgie asked "Sapphire-Jade I need a verbal answer" Captain spoke. SJ sighed exasperated "that's not a verbal answer! Do I need to get it tattooed across your forehead to remind you?" He barked "no sir" SJ said "Don't call me Sir I work for a living!" The tense silence could be cut with a knife "now piss off" SJ trudged out the office.
"SJ Wait a minute!" Georgie spoke "I thought we were good- why are you doing this?" Georgie asked
"I'm not doing Anything!" SJ whined
"Please SJ just talks to me!" Georgie pleaded
"I'm officially off the rails- you should try it" SJ replied and walked to the roof. And sat there just thinking, thinking about her mum & Captain James, her sad, the army.
