Waking up to a glorious sunrise through the window feels amazing no matter what region I'm in. Fall City has a very fresh air too, and I cracked the window open last night to let that air in. I felt refreshed and ready to take on the day's events. Those Coconut Heads, if I encounter them today, won't know what hit them!
Upon having breakfast, I noticed the main lobby of the Base was pretty empty. I knew Joel wouldn't be there since Spenser said last night the two of them would be heading to the Sekra Range up north today. Professor Hastings was supposed to be acting as Leader here, but he was nowhere to be seen. I figured he must've been busy, or back at his lab. I went outside for a morning walk.
When it comes to my personal preferences, I like very natural places and rural areas as opposed to cities. I love adventure and I love history. Cities are filled with too many people, but a lot of cities I've come across were pretty decent, some even very beautiful. Goldenrod City in Johto was sparkling and lively, and I loved the different amenities it had like the TV Station and the Radio Tower. The people in general were nice and not annoying, and the Department Store was just as cool and heavily stocked as the one in Veilstone City of Sinnoh.
Veilstone itself as a city was interesting, too, because it was carved out of the stone of the mountain cliffs. It has a very rugged feel even though it's quite populated. My favorite part of that city of course is the Game Corner. I spent hours at the slots racking up coins and never spending them. Another city that appealed to me in Sinnoh was Hearthome because it's very homey instead of busy, and it features the Contest Hall. My mother brought us to Sinnoh when we were young specifically because she wanted to be a Coordinator. She ran Hearthome whenever she traveled there for Contests, commanding respect and awe from everyone. She actually ended up moving into the city from Twinleaf Town when she was very famous and financially secure. Taking that title from her myself was no easy thing, but she was very proud when I did.
I was Top Coordinator like my mother, and now I'm going to be a Top Ranger like my father.
Fall City also has a different feel than overpopulated and busy places, and with it being connected to the water in many ways, it produced fresh air and good vibes all day long, and I loved it. I was taking in the view of the fountain when I got a text on my Styler from the Professor. He asked me to immediately come to the Dusk Factory and meet him inside. He didn't give me any additional info, details or anything.
With how impatient I know him to be, I hurried right over there.
The factory is to the east of the city near Amity Square. The gates in front were open, so I went in and the sight I beheld was nauseating. The factory had a raunchy smell and looked old and run down. Anybody that currently uses it is probably not working in the best conditions. Maybe an anonymous call to Fiore's version of the Department of Licensing and Inspection is in order.
Coming into the only entrance I found that was open, I realized the entire first floor was dark. I could hear noise elsewhere, so the factory was definitely in use, but this part of it either lost power or wasn't in use to begin with. I was tempted to call the Professor when I bumped right into him by a staircase.
"Professor! There you are. I couldn't see anything in this dark."
"Ah, Serena, you're finally with us. The power is down here because I shut it off."
"Oh? Then what's going on?"
"The Go-Rock Squad studied my Super Styler and developed their own. They've started producing their new Stylers right here in Fall City! Who would've guessed it?"
