It has been a few days and she hasn't woken up.

I'm sitting at the dinner table waiting for Joel to finish the drinks. We're having a good talk like we used to do in the old days. He showed up just in time back at the self destructing base, and we could play superheroes again like we used to. After cleaning up the mess left throughout the region from the Go-Rock Squad during the past few days, it was high time the two of us had a break and spent time in each other's company.

He brought out our glasses and sat down across from me. "Finally free. My Dodrio has been worked harder than ever before today. We deserve a week off for this."

"For sure. Fearow is strong, but shouldn't be ferrying anyone around for such a long time. They deserve time off too."

"Man, they get days off all the time when we sit around the Base issuing orders." We both chuckle and sip our drinks. We already finished the meal. Joel fixed his glasses before asking, "So, she still hasn't come to?"

"No. It's been too long and now I'm really worried."

"Tell me again how it happened? Did she hit her head at all?"

I shift in my chair. "No, she didn't. We were all soaking in the praise from the crowd, when she suddenly grabbed me by the shoulder, and when I looked to her she was clutching her head. Her grip was so strong, her knuckles were turning white. I knew whatever that was, it was gripping her real fierce, worse than before."

"This entity she spoke of, how much about it did she tell you?" I'm sure Serena trusted me with her dreams, but after she didn't wake up one or even two days later, I knew I had to tell somebody to get her help. Joel was first, and we agreed to bring the matter to Professor Hastings. Nothing came of it, even with the three of our minds pressed to the subject.

"Everything she could remember about them, she told me. All I know is it's purple and not human. She said it felt alien, and that it was asking for help."

"What did it do to her consciousness to knock her out like that?"

"I don't know. The crowd was closing in, and I turned and held her arms in case she fell again. She was trembling so hard, and then she snapped her eyes open and screamed my name. I think she was trying to tell me, but it slipped form her. All I could get was, 'myuh...tuh...' before she collapsed in my arms. I carried her back to Wintown as fast as possible."

Joel seemed pensive. "Myuh, tuh? I wonder what in the world that could be..." We both sit silently, pondering her final murmurings.

Serena was a spunky young girl, shy at first but heartwarming and contagious when she opens up. Her smile makes everyone in the room light up, and I feel like I only just got to know her. And now suddenly I've lost her.

Whatever that thing was, I hope it doesn't take her away from us...
