Stupid trials. Stupid duels. Stupid flashbacks. Stupid druids. Stupid demons. It was all so fucking stupid.
As I stormed out of the cave, my face faced to the floor as millions of thoughts ran through my head. If you couldn't already tell, I was mad. I felt like screaming at a wall just like Shane Dawson was screaming at his TV during his live stream.
I was so busy thinking of all the ways I could kill Zeldris, I ran smack into someone's bare chest.
"Shit!" I winced, stumbling backwards since I had been walking with quite a lot of force. I held my forehead, the victim of my clumsiness, and glanced up at the man who I had walked into.
"Howzer?" I smiled, spotting the obnoxious hairstyle and purple eyes, "What are you doing here?"
A light blush spread across his cheeks as he scratched the back of his neck, "Uh, the same thing as you guys, actually! We arrived just before you guys. By the way, that new power of yours is crazy!"
I squinted my eyes at him, not understanding. Then, for the first time since I started the trials, I checked my power level. I let out a shocked gasp as I saw the numbers, "Woah..."
Just over 25,000. And I hadn't even activated my badass queenly power.
"I know, haha! It was one of the first things I noticed when you walked out of the cave!" He spoke quickly, probably just saying whatever appeared in his brain, "Why did you look so mad, though?"
I completely forgot about Zeldris for a moment, my surprise overcoming the anger. My eyes darkened as I was reminded of the damn demon. Unknowingly, my lips formed a scary scowl, "I have someone that I need to beat up,"
Howzer gave me a bewildered look, slowly stepping away as he noticed the deadly aura that had begun to swirl around me, "O- okay! As long as it's not me!" He chuckled nervously, clearly on edge.
A few seconds later, where I was just staring at the ground, I blinked, snapping out of whatever odd trance I was in. I looked over to a very shook Howzer and sent him an apologetic smile, "Sorry about that! Mind showing me where the others are?"
He creased his brows, but slowly nodded as he walked away.
"So why don't you have a shirt on? I asked, attempting to smooth over whatever it was that happened before.
He stuttered, as flustered as Elizabeth when Melio harasses her, "I- Well- Lady Jenna- No armour- Monsters!" He managed to get out.
I laughed at his futile attempt to communicate, but I got the message, "So she's been making you fight monsters?"
"Hah, yeah..." He said, flinching as he probably saw images of what they had to fight, "What have you been doing?"
"Mmm, nothing much," I frowned, "Just fighting my dead father, reliving the worst moment of my life and stabbing my psychotic ex in the heart who then threatened to kill the man I love,"
Howzer choked on air, smacking his chest as he let out surprised coughs, "What?"
"Yeah... But hey! I'm strong now," I shrugged, making sure to slow down my pace so I would be at the same speed as a choking Howzer. In the distance, I could see a small band of people. That didn't include Elizabeth and Melio, as they were both in the dark cave still. I did spot Griamore and Gilthunder, who I assumed came with Howzer.
"And," I added to his befuddled self, "I'm a queen now," I smirked and walked away after I heard him let out very shocked coughs.
I joined King, who gave me a small nod, "Congratulations," He smiled, referring to the power I had gotten back. It was just a matter of whether I'd be able to control the one bestowed upon me by the dead Astrals.
