~ Home life: Both of Shirley's parents are alcoholics, therefore, Tim practically raised her and their brother, Curly. She was physically abused by her father, just like her brothers were. Shirley constantly ran away from home, staying at either the vacant lot or the Curtis household.

~ Personal life: Shirley dropped out of school when she was 13. She wasn't expected to care for the household or get a job to help pay bills, she just hated going. When she isn't hanging around with her gang, she's often at the school grounds using the basketball hoops. The sport helps keep her mind off her home life, and her unknown future.

~ History: Shirley has known Steve for as long as she can remember. Not a day went by since elementary school that she wasn't hanging out with him, mainly because they were both close friends with Two-Bit during those days. As she grew older, Shirley confided in Two-Bit about her crush on Steve.

~ Future: After the Death of their close friends, Dallas and Johnny, Shirley and Steve grew closer than they ever thought possible. The two found comfort in each other, they confessed a mutual attraction that had been there ever since they were 14. The two managed to leave Tulsa, to find their perfect life somewhere else. Steve found a career as a mechanic and Shirley became a stay-at-home mom in 1974. The two remained married until their death days.
