KongPob and P'Arthit walked up the stairs slowly taking their time so as not to over exert KongPob's body that was still very weak. It was around 7 in the morning, quite early for the pair but KongPob had insisted so that P'Arthit could get to work and not inconvenience him any further. The guy had stayed up with him the whole night. The least KongPob could do was relieve him so that he could take care of other aspects of his life. They finally arrived at the door and P'Arthit held KongPob up before he unlocked the door and the two struggled to the inside.
“Lie down on the bed KongPob. I'm so sorry I have to leave so suddenly but if I don't go now, I might lose my job. Get enough rest, don't move around too much and remember to take your medication on time. The fridge is stocked with food so just eat whatever you feel like ok? I have to go now. Goodbye!”
Arthit hastily said as he raced out the door, spraying some cologne to mask his non showered body and left. He came back approximately 10 seconds later to collect his work bag and a clean shirt and KongPob chuckled at his rushed state. P'Arthit wasn't much of an organised person per say. KongPob heeded to P'Arthit's words and fell asleep instantaneously as soon as his head hit pillow and stayed blacked out for most parts of the day. He only woke up when he needed to go to the bathroom or when P'Arthit called to question him on his heth and meals. He wasn't joking when it came to KongPob and wanted KongPob to follow the doctor's instructions to the T.

3 days passed by before KongPob felt well enough to go back to work. Some resistance was felt from P'Arthit understandably but KongPob reassured him that all was well. He had only a month left before schools resumed and KongPob would follow through. Besides, he did owe San for taking him to the hospital when he was sivk and he didn't want to seem like ke was running away. He hadn't done anything wrong anyway. He arrived at the cafe right on time looking sharp as ever in khaki shorts, a blue shirt and sport shoes. The door bell rang out as usual as he entered and he was quite surprised to find P'Mun at the counter.
“P'Mun, sawadee krap.” KongPob greeted as he came up to him.
“Ahhh KongPob! Sawadee krap. I see you're finally in good health. I heard what happened. Are you OK to resume work?” P'Mun asked concerned as he wiped his hands with the hand towel.
“I am fine thank you for asking P'Mun. And you, how are you and your family?”
“Ahhh, everything is very hectic these days. A newborn baby isn't exactly easy but all is in good faith. Stay is out with her parents for the week so I took the chance to come out here to check things out and thank god I did because I wouldn't have known that you were ill and that the cafe needed an extra hand. But I'm glad you are back, now we can all help out. That San keeps naggug about my presence but clearly needed help. The fool wanted to work the morning and afternoon shifts by himself. Anyway, come over and begin the coffee machine KongPob,” P'Mun instructed which KongPob immediately adhered to.
The two worked in harmony as they served up the customers in an efficient and effective way. P'Mun was way more experienced than San, his hands working swiftly and precisely a clear indication that he had done this more than anyone else and loved his work. His face lit up whenever a customer came in and he silently hummed to himself whenever he made a drink or made one of the dishes. KongPob smiled at the scene and hoped that one day he would fi d a job that made him feel like that in the future.
The door opened up revealing San who was carrying a handful of groceries since stocks had been a bit low.
“Finally! I was running out of milk! What took you sooo long?” P'Mun asked as he took some of the food bags back to the kitchen.
“Can you just relax and get out of my face for a minute?! Traffic was bad man and I don't need you lecturing me this early Mun.” San shot back already fed up by his brother's presence.
“Can you get any more disrespectful? You see KongPob, this is what I was talking about,” P'Mun said as he resumed his position while San turned back at the mention of KongPob.
“All younger siblings are like that P'Mun. Don't worry.” KongPob quietly replied as he looked back at San who was still frozen at the fact that he was back.
“You- how......... when did you get back?” San finally found his words.
“Excuse me, if you're going to lag, can you do it somewhere else where you're not in my way?” P'Mun said pushing San aside earning him a death glare from him. San decided not to bother with his brother and went closer to KongPob who was now washing some dishes.
“Are you.......... Are you ok KongPob?” San whispered walking on eggshells. He didn't know how to act around him anymore and it was honestly disturbing.
“Yes P'San krap. Thank you for taking me to the hospital. I owe you a lot. You saved my life,” KongPob said sincerely meaning every word. That made San ver happy and a huge smile cracked through his face.
“It's fine KongPob. I was very worried about you and I'm glad that I had been there when it happened. Just know that I'm here to care for you if anything happens.” San replied, his hand landing on KongPob's shoulder.

“ I am very grateful that you took care of me at that time and I was very lucky that you were there but I hope this will not lead to any misunderstandings. I still stand on the side that I don't see you as more than a friend P'San and you need to accept that please. I also ask that you refrain from coming into contact with P'Arthit. You were in no position to confront him like that and you would be stepping out of line if you did so another time. Let's just maintain a respectful distance between us and not provoke each other.” KongPob said before he walked away leaving San a bit broken down than before.
