Flaming Hearts.

Chapter one

I walked out the house shutting the door as tears gushed down from my eyes pulled up my black hoodie as the screams just got louder. I quickly ran down the stairs into the streets as the night breeze blew about this time of year in NY was very cold I kept my pace up as the streets lights brighten the path. I came up a bench in the park and decided to rest for a while I sighed thinking of how life would have been if only my dad would still be alive, mom would still be herself she wouldn't drink like the way she's drinking right now. My mind kept thinking back at the car accident that happened and how I survived and my dad did not. I wiped my tears as I recall Roy's attempt earlier he tried to kiss me and my mother doesn't even believe me I mean what does he see in him it's just been a year since dad died she made a mistake bringing that man into our life's. A loud thunder pulled me from my thoughts as rain started pouring down. Quickly I started running to find shelter the rain got heavier as my feet took me. I unlocked the front door of our house dripping wet,it was dark inside my hand reached for the light switch to turn the lights on my breath hitched at the sudden deep hush voice startling me "where the hell were you? He demanded I moved away from the door trying to ignore him as his hands gripped my shoulders and crushed me against the wall  his one hand caged my while his other chocked on my neck "leave me alone Roy!" I screamed while trying to catch my breath. " I asked you a question girl! He whispered " I ...I was at the park, please stop your hurting me I can't breathe" I effortlessly breathed as my mother's footsteps came on her eyes widened at what she saw. " Stop it Roy your hurting her leave her alone" she screamed at him. His eyes threw daggers at her then she faced me and removed his hands I went crushing down on the floor as I coughed continuously trying to catch my breath " tell your daughter Monica I own you both getting it inside that fixed skull of hers" he shouted at me he squatted down and gripped my chin to look at him " I don't care about you but I like your mother so if you can't obey me as the new head of this house leave! And with that he walked out and shut the door. Tears rolled down my cheeks uncontrollable I stood up immediately and ran upstairs to my room removed my suitcase and started packing up my clothes as she walked in " what are you doing Maryjane ? She asked politely "what does it look like am doing mom am getting the hell out of here"! I said as I kept packing up my necessary stuffs  " but where will you go"? She asked concerned "anywhere away from him " I told her as I closed my suitcase and faced her  "listen mom I don't know why you keep up with him but I can't dad is dead and we were suppose to stick together instead you brought him into our life's and now everything has changed"! I sobbed as she quietly held both our hands and looked back at me "I wish I could tell you that everything is going to be alright, that we are going to be fine but I can't and am sorry kido" she said I watched as her eyes closed and she sighed "I have to go mom"! I said as I dragged my suitcase and walked out.
