Chapter Twenty

Maryjane's POV

I winced at the pain I was feeling as I tried to sit up looking around at the bedroom I layed in realised it was my old bedroom I held my head with my hands as yesterday's memories came crushing back " Antonio" I whispered softly before I got out of bed and stared at my reflection in the mirror , I looked disoriented

" Your awake"! Sophia walked in with a smile

" Sophia what are you doing here"

" What do mean what am I doing here? Antonio called to let me know what happened to you" she retorted while pulling me to sit down

" He was here"?

" Yea he was here with his bodyguards and a doctor when I got here " she sighed

" Oh! I breathed as I pressed my abdomen with my hand

" Are you feeling okay?

" Yeah just alittle sore! My voice cracked as tears pilled up

" Heyy, come on here" she pulled me into a warm hug

" I am so tired of this, he's the reason why my mother is in the hospital and he-

" Don't cry Maryjane, don't worry he'll be behind bars soon they'll catch him" her soft voice comforting me

"When is that, as long as he's out there he won't stop hurting me, he told me that I should never have gotten the police involved "

" Listen to me, he will be caught just have some faith MJ" as her finger wiped my tears on my face

" Thank you for being here with me Sophia I really appreciate everything you've done for me"

" Hey what are best friends for, anyways I just got breakfast from that good cafe we like and it's downstairs waiting for us so wash up and come down" she chuckled

" Okey, I left some of my clothes here I'll wear them"

" Sure I'll be downstairs"

After a quick hot bath I finally found something of my old clothes that could still fit me I pulled the t' shirt and jeans on then tied my hair into a big bun after drying it and walked out the room my feet stopped at the top of the stairs as my eyes stared at the bedroom door a flash of memory came through my head as his eyes stared back at me smiling . I quickly closed my eyes and shook the memory away and went downstairs finding two built up men standing in the living room one was talking to Sophia while the other one stood silently like a statue

" Uhh! Sophie who are these men? I whispered at her while I flushed a smile

" Oh! Antonio brought them to guard the house last night, apparently they can't leave until he tells them "

" My name is Franko and this is my partner Diego at your service Miss Johnson" he introduced himself

" Just call me Maryjane" I chuckled

" Sure thing Maryjane , well will be outside!

" Oh have you guys had breakfast ?

"Yes we did , don't worry about us" he smiled before they both walked out

I turned around to meet Sophia's oogling at both of the men as they walk out

" Sophie for Christ sake stop staring" as my hand smack her

" Am sorry it's just there so hot" she giggled

" Antonio brought them here, I don't know he was so worried about you when you were unconscious"
