Chapter Twenty Three

Maryjane's POV

His lips mashed against mine, as if trying to flatten and destroy my mouth. Hungrily I pushed back my mouth open , tongue pushing past his clenched teeth to the moist space within. The bristles of his beard scratched against my soft cheeks as I gripped his head firmly my nails digging into its hair as if to keep him from escaping. I worked my mouth against his, our  tongues battling back and forth like wrestlers each trying to pin the other. His gripped losened around my waist as he pulled back both of us catching our breaths

" I.. I have to uhm... I have go" breathless as I grabbed my bag and immediately stormed out of there

" Mary-

The elevator doors closed before he could finish. I sighed heavily as I leaned back against the wall as I stroke my hair my mind all over the place " what just happened"!? Quickly steeping out of the elevator and walked down the long hallway as I flushed a quick smile at Clara at the front desk and walked out the big doors of the building.

I stood patiently waiting for a cab to pass by as the night breeze blew, my eyes spotted Jack parking his car quickly moving away for him not to notice me just for him to notice me

" MJ! Heey wow seeing you today two times already it's like the universe wants to tell us something" he chuckled

" Hi Jack, I was just leaving anyway

" What were you-

" Maryjane! I turned to find him standing at the top of the stairway I shifted uncomfortably remembering our little encounter

" You forgot your scarf ! his deep voice hitched as he stretched his arm and handed me the scarf.

I slowly stretched my hand as I took the scarf from his hand our fingers grazed and my glanced up at him to find him intensely staring at me.

" Mr Rouhas it's nice to see you again " Jack stated briefly

" Detective! He quickly acknowledge him

" Well MJ are we going to have coffee together! Jack chimed in

My gaze grew wide at his statement not understanding what he meant I watched as Antonio's jaw clenched as he stared at Jack with rage in his eyes my stomach flipped at the thought that he might be jealous but I quickly cleared my throat to answer

" Sure! I don't know why I said that but I didn't want him to be get embarrassed Infront of Antonio

" Okey then, excuse us Antonio" Jack retorted

I closed my eyes as I opened them to find him starring down at me

" See you tomorrow Maryjane" he stated before he went back inside with a scowl on his face.

After he had disappeared I turned with a frown on my face

" You never asked to have coffee with me! I growled

" It looked like you needed one, just for a few minutes" he smiled

" Very few! I stated before we got to his car.

I sat quietly holding my cup of hot coffee looking around at the familiar place I used to come.

" Remember this place! Jack chuckled
