Barricade x Reader • Flashing Lights •

• Chapter Twenty •

All I could see was green. Bright green. My eye was tingling. My breathing was heavy, I could feel my hot breath hit my arm as I covered my eye.
Once my vision cleared and I saw a black room. I saw the familiar light, then saw Barricade talking to Acid Storm.
"I said I don't like her. I hate her, in fact. She doesn't know what I'm really planning. I'm using her for information! After we get the information Megatron needs, she will be terminated properly." Barricade told Acid. Hearing those words made me want to gasp, but I couldn't move.
"Yeah, and that's also why you interfaced with her. To get information." Barricade growled.
"No, I did that for my own good. When you have a human around, might as well play with it." I felt my heart beating hard against my chest.
"Sure, sure. So, what's the plan when we get the information? How will we terminate her?" My vision started pulsing green with every beat of my heart. My body felt unbelievably cold. I tried to yell out for help, more importantly, Barricade, but I couldn't move. Just listen as they plot my death. Smearing their words in my face as if I wasn't there.

Her death.

"Blaster."

"Stepped on."

"Stabbed."

"Thrown."

I finally had enough and I tried to snap myself from this nightmare. It didn't take long before I gasped awake. I was holding my eye. I ran to the bathroom and closed the door, locking it.
I stared at my pale reflection.
I looked horrible.
I had bags under my eyes, my hair was brushed in random directions. Then I finally focused on my eye.
What I saw shocked me.. my eye had a green ring around the pupil, then a green dot in the center. My eye was cyberized.
I began to breathe heavily at the scary sight, then ended up backing up and falling onto the floor.
"B.. Barricade!!" I screamed. I had tears streaming down my face and I was trembling.
A few minutes later, Barricade was at the door in his holoform.
"Unlock the door." He said. I shakily did so, then opened the door and hugged him.
"What are you.... why are you so upset?" I just sobbed on his shoulder and felt him hug back slowly.
"M-my.. eye...." I said. Barricade pulled back and cupped my face gently, looking into my eyes.
"I don't see what your problem is," he said slowly.
"My eye keeps making me have visions... I had a vision where you and Acid were plotting my termination after I give you information... you used me as a human toy..." Barricade frowned and gently kissed me. I kissed back, feeling warm tears drip down my cheeks.
"I would never do that to you. No matter how fleshy or weird you may be, you're not a toy, you're mine." I nodded and cuddled close to his chest.
"Come on, you need to slee-"
"-Promise you'll be with me?"
He stared at me for a while and smiled.
"I promise." He brought me to his berth, then changed back to his bot mode, bringing me up onto the soft mattress.
"Hey, Barricade?"
"Yes, fleshy?"
"I love you, you know that, right?"
He stared at me with a soft blush.
"I... I do." I smiled and cuddled close to his neck as we both fell asleep.
