Barricade and I walked out of the police mustang and towards a sharp rock over a cliff. The stars were out and a tinge of red was seen in the sky.
He sat down and I sat next to him. I found my head quickly leaning on his shoulder and he smiled slightly and made sure I couldn't see it.
"So, you're from up there." I started a conversation. He nodded.
"I am. Cybertron. The city made of metal. The planet made of metal." I smiled a little bit and stared at the stars.
"I've always wanted to go to space." I admitted. Barricade gave me a strange look.
"You're in space right now. You're on a planet that is in space. What more could you want? Primus, humans are always needy." I laughed at his words and gently hit his arm.
"I'm sure you know what I mean." He nodded and laid back. I laid down as well and found myself being shoulder to shoulder with the human version of Barricade. He looked like he had something on his mind, but whenever I asked about it, he would dismiss it.
"When are you going to tell me?" I asked.
This stirred a look from him.
"What?"
"When are you going to tell me what's going on? You've been zoning out a lot, being a little more clumsy than normal, and especially when you're with me."
Barricade glared at me and scoffed.
"I don't have to tell you anything-"
"-Unless I'm your partner!" He made a noise of annoyance and looked opposite of me.
"That only counts if it's part of a mission!" He yelled. I smiled as that gave me an idea. A poor idea.

After stargazing and talking, we both went back to the base and Barricade went quickly to bed. I walked up to Lord Megatron and smiled.
"Hello! I want to ask you something..." I began. He curiously stared at me.
"And what might that be?"
"A mission request. Could you make a mission where Barricade has to admit whatever he's hiding. He's not acting like himself at all," Lord Megatron nodded.
"I'll see what I can do for you both." I grinned and gave Megatron a little hug and walked away.

I woke up in fright when I heard an annoying alarm blaring in the shared room.
Barricade, however, was somehow still recharging, as he says.
"Y/n and Barricade! Wake up! I've got a mission for you." Megatron's voice boomed on a loudspeaker. Barricade growled as he sat up, then I realized he never changed back to his bot form.
My eyes stared at him. His tired eyes, his messy hair... he was perfect.
"Well, good morning, sleepy fleshbag." I imitated him. He gave me a tired glare and stretched, revealing his hidden muscles. He sat up and realized his holoform.
"You never told me I was still in my holoform," I chuckled in response.
"You never told me I had to tell you." Barricade yawned and left the chambers as I followed.
"Lord Megatron, you have a mission for us?" Barricade bows.
Megatron gave Barricade a strange reaction to his human form.
"Why are you in your holoform?"
"I forgot to change back."
Megatron sighed and explained the mission, then I realized this was a mission I had requested.

Barricade and I were currently at a pretty area filled with waterfalls and creeks, wildlife roaming everywhere you look. Flowers bloomed on bushes and trees as we passed by.
"I still do not know why Lord Megatron would want to find a tropical bird and send us here. This isn't even a rainforest." Barricade muttered.
"Actually, he sent us here because I wanted to know what's on your mind... this is a fake mission." I told him. He looked furious.
"You... you told Lord Megatron to create a fake mission just because you want to be nosy?!" I flinched at his tone and nodded. He sighed heavily and crossed his arms. He sat down on a rock that was settling in some cool water near a waterfall. Refreshing mist sprayed us both and he stared at the water.
"I'm sorry," my voice was quiet from both the rush of the falls and from being embarrassed.
"It is about time I tell you. You're right, I should not keep everything from you. You're my partner and one of my closest friends." I looked at Barricade and saw him look at me with his red eyes.
"But first, how about you tell me what's on your mind?"
This caught me off guard.
"I, what? What do you mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean."
My face began to redden and I looked down.
"There's a certain cybertronian that I like and I'm afraid to tell him." His head tilted.
"Oh, really? And who may that be?"
"Well, he is a certain cop, likes to drive mustangs, really cool looking, amazing..." he smirked.
"You're talking about me." I smiled and nodded.
"I admire a fleshbag dunce that really likes mustangs and cybertronian culture." I giggled.
"I'm glad you like me." He scoffed.
"I don't like you. I tolerate you." I laughed.
"Well,..." I got close to him.
"I tolerate you as well, you big moody robo-man." He rolled his eyes and quickly went to peck my lips, and I grinned.
"Let's head back to base."
