Tyrion had walked away from the city of Kings Landing after his awkward conversation with Pricne Oberyn Martell. His brother's health declined him to leave the Sunspear, instead, he sent his two brothers as his representatives in order to join the wedding of Queen Margaery and King Joffrey.
Knowing full well that Oberyn had only come to seek out the truth, Tyrion could only imagine a heated conversation against his father and The Red Viper. Oberyn had come to Kings Landing in order to know the truth; the truth if it was Tywin Lannister's orders for The Mountain to rape, murder his nephew and niece, and then kill his sister Elia.
He loved her, and it was enough for him to muster the courage and pride to return to Kings Landing after the last wedding of her marrying Prince Rhaegar Targaryen before he left her for another woman.
Even if he didn't understand fully of what it was like to lose someone a person truly loved, Tyrion could only ponder at the though as he found himself strolling down the streets and towards the fighting pit.
Normally, he wouldn't walk any further than from Littlefinger's brothel to avoid being jumped by those who were ignored by the King, but it was the only place where he had gotten intel that Oberyn's younger brother was there.
And indeed he was. Tyrion looked down from the balcony hovering over the fighting pit to see three men in deep thought as they circled one another. He could make out two of the Elita Lannister Guards, but the third who he assumed was the youngest Prince of Dorne.
He wore light, leather brown armor with gauntlets tinged a slight gold and a long scythe in his gloved hands. Tyrion watched from a distance as one of the Lannister guards ran at the younger man with a sword in hand.
The Prince simply rolled his head to the side along with his body and blocked the sword's second attempt with the blade of his scythe. Tyrion took note of how agile and yet dangerous the weapon was.
The steel blade shimmered in the sun's reflection as the bottom of it swung up against the guard's sword and allowed the man to grab the handle of the sword. The Lannister guard looked up in surprise before the stranger took his sword and brought his scythe beneath his legs, causing them to buckle as he fell onto the floor on his back.
The fighting pits were usually for those willing to prove themselves worthy enough attention for the Queen Regent or the King, but those that didn't do it for attention only did it for fun and left the defeated alive.
With one down, the man turned around and looked at the other Lannister--two swords in his hands. But to Tyrion's surprise, the man threw the sword aside and simply stiffened his position before charging at the soldier.
The armored guard brought up both of his swords to block the scythe from cutting into his flesh, but the end of the blade was practically three inches from grazing his nose. With his attention driven away from him, the elite hadn't realized in time that his opponent had grabbed the blades of both swords before punching him in the face with his elbow.
Staggering, the sentinel fell to the floor and admitted defeat. Tyrion was surprised. His first introduction with Prince Oberyn was strange as he and Bronn found his dagger in the upper palm of another Lannister guard's hand.
Now he found himself meeting the younger brother, who had defeated two of the best trained Lannister garrison in Kings Landing within one minute.
He then resumed to walk down the stairs and began to introduce himself, not wanting it to go as it was earlier.
"Prince Arton, it is finally nice to meet you." Tyrion greeted.
