[Brandon]

It was my billionth time in the principal’s office. I stretched out my legs that’ve been cramped up from sitting so close to Mr. Hane’s desk. I have been here for the past 45 minutes, denying everything that Mr. Hanes asked me.

No sir, I don’t know how the fire alarm went off...

No sir, I was not down in the gym...

No sir, I did not manage to tie sacks of food coloring over the sprinklers...

No sir, I did not ruin Brooke’s new cheerleading outfit...

Yup. Mr. Hanes is not going to buy my bullshit.

Okay. So maybe that last part was funny. I needed to get out of here and ask how the hell Ty pulled this off. The snapchat that he sent me of Brooke’s white outfit had been stained to the colors of the rainbow had me laughing in hysteria in the middle of the halls, and I got caught out by some teacher.

Okay. So maybe I need to get out of here and kill Ty for making me take all the blame. And maybe I’ll have him seriously fuck up the bet.

The bet…. Kristen… I thought about the crazy mess she got herself into with Mrs. Browning in the kitchen and the stupid little maid outfit. Who knew that short skirts and converses would make such a lethal combination? Before I knew it, I completely zoned out, lost with my head in the clouds.

Literally. It was so nice outside. The sky was a bright blue, and the clouds looked so fluffy.

Whao. Seriously?

I mentally slapped myself and forced my eyes to look at Mr. Hanes, only to look past his gray hair and towards the rooftop where we hung out a lot. There was two people leaning over the edge, onlooking over the soccer and football fields.

No way… Could it be Jared and Kristen? I would recognise his mop of blonde hair anywhere.

Something stirred inside of me, and it made me want to leave even more than before. I quickly made my move.

“With all due respect sir,” I let my other self take over, “I understand that there is wrong here. But it’s really not me. You have the wrong guy. If my utmost honesty did not persuade you, I will cover all the expenses to repair all the damages. If you’ll excuse me, I have some.. ah, matters to take care of.”

I quickly got to the door and got out of there. I really wanted to see if it was actually Kristen. I don’t care if the only reason Jared was talking to her was because of the bet. A strong surge washed over me, and all of a sudden I wanted to be near her, to be up on the roof tops with her.

I have to join the bet....

[Kristen]

Jared had left early for some practice that he was mumbling about, I wanted to stay a bit longer and enjoy the view, it was really nice, I could definitely see myself hang out here more often. I could camp out under a tree, do some work, eat lunch, read on wattpad.

Not to mention, I won’t have to even bother with drama, after what happened in the caf, I really don’t want to talk to anyone. Well, Olivia seems really nice, a bit ditzy and loopy, but still nice. I was totally lost in my thoughts, staring up into the sky.

Whao. It’s really nice out today.

Click.

Someone else was here. Did Jared forget something here? I turned around, and saw Brandon. What? Why was he here? Didn’t Jared say that this was his place? Brandon smirked, his brown eyes practically dancing.

“Sign says no trespassing,” he walked closer to me. And soon, he was towering over me.

I had to rebuke that. No way am I letting him off easy. “Sign says not your house.”

Brandon laughed, a easy and carefree one. He crossed his arms, and his biceps flexed. “Actually, the roof is all of ours. Since our families funded the school after all these years, they built the garden in our name.”

“Oh.” Crap. I can’t speak words. “I guess I should just leave. My name isn’t here I bet.”

Haha, good job you. Lame excuse. You just needed to get away from Brandon.

“I never told you to leave, what’s the rush? I know you like the view.”

“The view is so nice, that I have to agree.” I looked up at the sky.

Brandon laughed again. Gr.. “No silly. I was talking about me.” Double Gr..

“I dunno, I think you're blocking the view.” I smirked. That’ll bruise his inflated ego.

Brandon ran his hand through his gelled hair and exhaled loudly, “Haha. Funny. Look, I’m not here to bother you, we talked about being nice already. I.. I actually came to find you for help. And I understand if you don’t want to.”

I leaned against the railing. The great Brandon Master Chance wants my help..? This I gotta know.

“Alright.. What is it?”
